What do you mean by "no strings attached"? Oh, and also, by argumentation, I'm not talking about a dispute, but just... just some points about why he don't want Miis.
(as a French, the word "argument" meaning "dispute" always seems weird to me)

Because they follow the popular crowd and not believe in Mii, and the default Mii usually gets brought up to the where to the point they fade away from them.

People can name themselves "ASS" or "BALLS" online, but no one seems to be ******** and moaning about that. As long as we get more important characters first, I'd welcome Mii with open arms.

I like to play as my Mii in Mario Kart 7, StreetPass Mii Plaza games, and Wii Fit U... I actually would love to play as my Mii in Smash too. I really think Sakurai can be pretty creative with the Mii's moveset and gameplay.

Meh, it's just gonna be like R.O.B. where everyone moans and groans about it until it dies down and when smash 5 is announced people are going to ***** and groan about how Mii shouldn't have even made it in smash in the first place and how they should get cut.

Only the first part would actually be like ROB. Many people have now accepted and embraced ROB.
Or then they're going to try and convince people how Mii isn't going to be cut from "Smash 5", how important it is to Nintendo and all the same stuff people do with R.O.B. right now.

The Japanese fans who "hated" Little Mac were likely brats that didn't/don't realize that there are Smash fans outside of their little cultural bubble. They're the same ones who will whine and cry when Ridley is announced because "Metroid isn't even popular, why are they adding more characters?!".

That's why I only said that about the (few) people who hated him. Most people were just neutral toward him, just as the majority of us would be toward a character that was only popular in Japan (though I don't know of one).

People just like to quickly say that they are not iconic enough or that they don't belong in smash because they are casual and others like K.Rool and Ridely should get in due to higher demand/bigger fan base. People don't realize that this game is a celebration of Nintendo new or old. The Mii's fan base is smaller and more quiet compaired to bigger ones like Ridly, K.Rool, or Palutena but that didn't mean that they are less of a contender and should be excluded. Any character from Nintendo should be eligible for smash! Ridely, Mii, Palutena, Tetra, K.Rool, chibi-robo, Takumaru, Lip, Dixie, Crom, Shulk, C.Rainbow, Wonder Red, Porky, ANYONE FROM NINTENDO should be eligible for smash! At the end Smash 4 is going to be great with or without some of these characters.

Some people don't consider them really memorable video game characters. They're avatars, and by design they're vague and undefined. Some people therefore don't feel much of a connection to them as characters.
Personally I don't think that's too much of a problem, so long as they do a good job of representing their "Wii" series games and other appearances. There are characters in SSB4 already like WFT and Villager that aren't really defined characters, they're more like general representations of their games. I think it's fine for a character to do that. I'm still not clamoring for Miis or anything, but I think they're definitely valid as a potential newcomer.

If I may start something a bit positive. Assuming Miis are indeed playable, what are those who are neutral to supportive of Miis are going to do with your Miis first? Either that be having silly "Mii selfies" for some screenshots, having crazy battles between Mii versions of celebrities and/or Miis of fictional human characters. I know it's likely not the very first thing anyone will ever do to the game. But I feel like doing something funny with the Miis should be part of the fun experience of having the new game if they are indeed in. Even if for most it might be easy to get bored of it after a few pics.

I'll obviously play as myself a few times. I tend to main my Mii in games like Mario Kart (simply because I'm no good with Wario, who is a heavy character), so I'll try him out and consider him a contender for a secondary.
My main is going to be Ridley, though, so that spot is locked to hell and back.

I don't see a problem with Miis at all. Granted, they wouldn't be a system-seller for me, personally, but they certainly do deserve a spot on the roster, and I would welcome them, nonetheless. I think that people who fear that Miis will just be cheap character slots that can be customized to no end are being paranoid. I don't remember that being an issue in any of the other umpteen games they were available in.
What would I do with Miis first? Well, once I'm done fiddling around with those newcomers whom I actively anticipated, I'll probably just play as myself and see how the Miis work. I can imagine, with how many games they've been in, and basically being the face of one of Nintendo's most successful systems, that they'll have a pretty interesting moveset.
