Freddy, I just don't think people give brawl enough of a chance. I didn't like it for a while. Yeah when i won 5,000$ from I liked it a lot more but thats definitely not the reason that i kept playing. I knew that a tournament like that would only come once in a lifetime, but i mean there is a lot more to it than most people think. You are entitled to your own opinion but i mean i dont play brawl to make money either. I really love smash, melee and brawl, and i do have a job as well. I'm sure a lot of people think that i play brawl just for money or that i gave up melee for brawl bc i make money off of it, but thats not true at all. Almost every free opportunity I get together with friends and play brawl. I'm just saying that i do play brawl bc i truly enjoy it and if i can make money off it sometimes its just a bonus. I just wanted to specify that(sorry for the rant).

Pritch, I'm a musician of 10 years and i don't LOVE rock band/guitar hero but i mean it can be fun with a group of people. I don't care if its stripped down, its still fun, especially for those who aren't qualified musicians. Some people actually enjoy having fun.

Same for Brawl. As far as I've noticed, some people don't just get bored with brawl. They mainly get tired of losing to gay stuff(like meta knights tornado which is easily punishable but people don't bother figuring out how to punish it). They quit because they lose to a n00b and can't beat it.then say.. Brawl's Too easy!!. (why? because you lose to noobs now?)What the F.
I wonder how many people quit because of Meta knight. lol

I DO understand that some people don't play brawl because it's too slow. But people have their opinions. Also Pritch please don't say the EASIER one, bc its not necessarily the easier one at all. If you want to say the slower one then say it, I can't deny the fact that its slower, but you have to use your mind a lot more in brawl than in melee. If that werent true i wouldn't have lost to a diddy kong player in texas. You don't even KNOW the mindgames in brawl. ;D

I'm pretty sure most people quit because of Meta Knight.

I'm sure Eric got really annoyed whenever I felt like playing with him in friendlies. Same could be said for Ken, though Ken hated Brawl from the start anyway.

I KNOW Taylor got mad whenever I used Meta Knight against him. We got into quite a few arguments over it, and that's when I started to decide that I hated the game.

Not saying that's why those guys quit, but it goes to show that even one tiny little thing can cause trouble. You don't even have to suck at something in order to not like it.

EDIT : I hear Dedede's the talk of quitting now anyway.

I always did poorly in Melee due to poor technical skill. I do better in Brawl, but probably only because people don't care about it, and the truly skilled people have done just like Freddy said, and left it because it's "Too easy". I wonder what would happen if all the Melee players picked it up and started playing it, again. Would they dominate the competition, or would they get frustrated and quit?

I'm not too bright, either. The most I am able to do in a brawl match is pattern recognition, figure out what people MAY end up doing next, and prepare myself for it. My reflexes leave a lot to be desired, so I can't often carry out what my mind tells me to do.

I had enough tech skill in Melee to where I could hold my own for quite a while, but then the better players here got much better tech-wise and then it got to the point where I was just barely holding on. So tech skill does indeed have a lot to do with playing in Melee. Quick reactions and fast attacks can simply lead to overwhelming even a slightly slower player.

Many people DID quit Brawl for many different reasons. I do not recommend that Melee players pick up Brawl again though. I'm pretty sure that they WILL get frustrated with it or at least just shrug it off. It's much better that people just stick with the games that they like.

EDIT : Ahh ok, Sudai. Just making sure. =P
