DSK, if you want, I'm free Monday and Tuesday afternoon. If you don't have to work, then I'd definitely like to play. Otherwise, I might be free Tuesday evening. Also, I can drive to meet you wherever, but my place isn't really a good place to play. But yeah, I'd really like to play some new people, so it'd be awesome if you're up for some smash.

Young dylan is having people over at his house from now until like 11:30-12:00 soo if anyone wants to go over there and play smash thenn i guess you guys could for a little while im assuming.

DSK: cool. I'll know more specifically what times will be good today (Sunday). I'm having cruise control installed on my car, so anytime before lunch either day might not be good. I guess Monday early/mid afternoon would be good for me or early afternoon - evening Tuesday. So yeah, just let me know what time is best for you and maybe PM me directions/ number?

hope everyone had a good time at dibbs. i was busy being awesome at a resturant. handled my line by myself on a saturday night after being trained only one day. my 'trainer' didnt show up. everyone gave me mad props. i gets a raise after one day. pro.
im off tomorrow. who wants to play?

cyphus and lee should totally make a trip to br one day when im off.

i don't know who eggm is..so i don't know why his opinion on tiers should matter..this is mine

Cyphus's Tier List
High: Marth, Falco, Fox, Sheik, Peach, Capt
Mid: Ice, Samus, Jigs, Ganon, Mario, Doc, Luigi
Low: DK, Link, Young, Pikachu, Mewtwo, Roy, Yoshi, G&W, Zelda, Ness, Bowser, Pichu, Kirby

i say screw all these breaking up of characters...it doesn't mean anything.
Basically there are 3 levels: good, medium, and bad. If u want to know who is at the top..just look at the beginning of high", if u want bottom..look at end of "low."

High = tournament-winning worthy characters. Losing with these against any other character in the game is a NO-JOHNS policy; i don't believe they have any real counter.
Mid = characters that can do well in tournaments occasionally, but may suffer some bad matchups.
Low = does well in tournaments extremely rarely. Sufferse strong counters here and there.

hmm i think pika should be alittle higher i mean, he dies really easy but he can 0 death falco, with a chain grab i think? nah nvm you can prolly smash DI out of it. but in all honesty i think my tier list is alittle weird but well here it goes

i mean, i do rly well vs capt but im going to look at it anyway. she ***** him imo. like 7/3
grab tech chase- capt cant roll fast pwnage.

and if you're going to break down the tiers into 3 lvls (which i dont really agree with because i think the top 4 should be in there own category if nothing else), i think ice should go in the high tier, even if you dont change their placement above characters. i'll evaluate some more after i watch this movie.

the reason i don't put ice isn't in my high is because mostly of stage disadvantages since its an auto-lose on rainbowcruise/pokefloats and u can't avoid both. Not to mention peach is a hard counter.

i mean, agree the top 4 are slightly better than the ohters in my "high" tier..but i think the differences aren't as evident as the gap between high and medium (oposed to "top" and high) which is why i meshed them. I guess i just think capt might be disadvantaged against sheik/fox, but i still think its highly winnable. (as oposed to ice vs peach, ganon vs falco, or mario vs all high tiers and having no upperhanded match)

but on a dif note, my doc, ice, and ganon...i feel all the more confident now. Hell, even my link is back on par where it used to be. I feel at my best right now in melee. I'd say i dominated everyone in melee last time at dibbz, but i only got to play lee a few times, albeit back and forth. (he'd wait for his turn, **** john, then quit playing for a while, lol)

i did the sexiest thing with iceclimbers too. lee said 'i don't wanna play cyphus's ice climbers" when he saw it, haha.
i did combination: nana-blizzard-popo-edgehog edgeguard...while oponent was getting hit from blizzard, i jumped B.air KOed, haha. TOO GOOD.

As far as Crew Battles go, the way the stages and countering works...i've figured its deffinately in a crew's advantage to have 5 or 6 people instead of 4 (assuming noone drags the crew down too far)....so:

LA is deffinatley: Lee, Cyphus, Taylor, John, Ricky...Kyle(?) if he's coming and serious.
No offense to Ray, but i think he's hasn't improved since LAST. He's just shuffled through random characters since, and now is confused between Y.Link, Capt, and Sheik. His sheik is only good against marths, his capt would get ***** by fox, and his y.link is just food for someone who is at least farmiliar w/ the matchup.

yeah i got way to drunk tonight. happy new year indeed. im sober now though. bonefish got ***** but they bought everyone in the restaurant a shot of patrone at the end of the night. it was awesome. anyway, i requested off for friday-monday of the tournament so i will be able to go and have no obligations to anything else. im not sure about the ride but im sure that will come in due time. im just generally awesome at this game, as usual.

Woah, we're talking smash theory now? I'll post a long rant when the next person posts a tier list. Too lazy to do one now. :p

I just agree with Taylor though that I don't like how Cyphus grouped the characters so closely together. Even with diversified stages, it doesn't counter the fact that stage bans are a reality and that broken characters will find broken stages to play on.
