So, how bad do you guys think these ''excuses'' for shantae not being in smash are?
And yes, these are actual reasons people have for shantae not being good for smash
"People only vote Shantae because they think she's hot!"
"Shantae has no moveset potential!"
"No one knows Shantae!"
"She can transform? Kirby clone!"
"She fights with her hair? Midna clone!"

This would probably be shantae's face if hehad to hear these ''reasons''

Even if Shantae doesn't get into Smash 4, I'm still looking forward to her addition to Super Smash Bros. Crusade (it may be a fan game, but it's a damn good one!).

Well we do know that Sakurai has planned for several Ballot characters(2 to 5) to be used in the Smash DLC. Let's hope our prayers are answered and that Shantae is ONE of those 2 to 5 DLC characters.

Can't wait, we got 6 days to go.

Mario would be cool. As for a tourney, sounds fun! We should have a all out Shantae tourney with all items set on high, all stages, and of course... Shantae only lol.

Mario, Kid Icarus, EarthBound (Shantae could make a guest appearance), Kirby (guest appearance in the style of guest appearances in Kirby's Dream Land 3)

Hands down the best thing to come out of Sonic Shorts.

Honestly, I feel like all the self-promoting is really tacky. Team Meat promoting Meat Boy, Yacht Club promoting Shovel Knight, and Way Forward pushing Shantae. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with indie characters in Smash because I'd love to see it happen, but these devs are asking for their characters to appear alongside Mario and Link, knowing how huge it would be for them. And between Matt and WF's accounts, it's like they don't have an off switch.

It just looks bad. As a fan of these characters (well, of SK and Shantae anyway) it reeks of desperation. Even the thread title mentions that Wayforward wants her for Smash- it feels almost like this is for them, particularly Matt, rather than us.

I didn't mean that seriously.

But you do know that the other big 3rd parties like Ubisoft, Konami, and Microsoft want a rep, right?

That's how a campaign-esque thing works. If you don't promote yourself constantly, no matter how shameless and annoying it is, nobody's going to care about voting for you. :/
