After the announcement that came with Character 4, I wonder fi we'll ever be able to say a character is truly dead.

The only characters I consider dead are DLC Mii Costumes, as to put them in as Fighters later would destroy the value of the Mii Costume. I don't think Nintendo would let that happen.

Frisk is in purgatory, depending on if you think Megalovania/Sans is a good sign or a bad one.

Everybody else is fair game.

They thought it was worth it to sell Link/Falcon/Fox/Samus costumes. I think it depends on whether or not the reaction was on par with the ones for Sans'.

Sakurai confirmed no 4th party characters.

That means no Goku, no Batman, no Spongebob and no Shrek.

I'd apply that to 3rd party characters as an absolute and Nintendo owned ones as a guideline

Given that we have Chrom serving double duty as Playable and Final Smash, some like Fiora and Tom Nook probably already should be.


Of course that image is very outdated but this ARMS character will certainly be rule defining

I never thought that spirits disconfirmed (mostly so I didn't have to add over a thousand names to the list), so Min Min didn't officially change anything. That being said, I genuinely think that nothing from the base game disconfirms (Waluigi is part of my predictions, even), this thread is irrelevant now.

Not entirely, there's still one thing that disconfirms in my eyes. 3rd party spirit events.

it is a graveyard.

besides, i'm one of the most lenient on disconfirmation. I think we're getting both Isaac and Mimikyu as DLC, both of which are "disconfirmed".

Might as well consider Elma deconfirmed unless more DLC happens, as Pyra/Mythra are the newest Xenoblade characters...
