Smash Apprentice
After some deliberation with Ray_Kalm and Vermanubis, we've decided to open back up submissions for the Ganondorf Community Video, which I have volunteered to compile in Ray_Kalm's stead. It'll feature some of the best highlights and combos of the community, and I hope to make it similar to the style of Ray_Kalm's montages from Brawl--showcases of raw Ganondorf talent (1, 2) without any memes, and only a reasonable amount of special effects (as to not detract from the gameplay). I will do my best to make the montage as well as I can, both in quality of clips and quality of editing.
Many of you should have plenty of footage now that the game has been out for quite some time and since the Upload to YouTube feature has been implemented, so I expect, and hope, to complete the video quite soon (preferably within 2 weeks).
Guidelines.
Most of these will really only apply if I get an excess of submissions, but here are the guidelines I intend to follow, mostly in order of priority.
Submission.
Anyone is welcome to submit epic demonstrations of Ganondorf dominance (though I will adhere to the above guidelines). Funny clips are acceptable, provided the clip involves skill and an opponent who is at least decent. Avoid plays that take a long time to unfold (such as JV3's, etc.), clips that feature miserably incompetent opponents, and clips that are just "disrespect." If possible, send clips that preserve the sound effects and leave out music, though this isn't a requirement. If you submit footage from the ditto, it must be very exceptional, as I'd rather not focus on the ditto. If you've already submitted footage for the old montage thread to Ray_Kalm, go ahead and forward it on to me.
In order of most optimal method to least, here are the ways I prefer you submit footage. (I am open to other reasonable methods, if these don't work for you.) Please don't submit more than four links (EDIT 2/26 you may send a few extra--I'll go through it all). Place an asterisk (*) next to the clip you want most featured, otherwise I will just pick what I think is the best.
I have tagged some of the Ganondorf mains who participated in the old thread here, as well as others who I think may be interested.
If anyone disagrees with the guidelines I've described, etc., please let me know your concerns below.
Also, please post music suggestions! I know I've already monopolized a lot of the Zelda remix tracks I thought were decent on my channel, so I'm open to pretty much any genre, especially music that is upbeat and fitting to Ganon.
I'm excited to see what you all come up with!

- I will only accept footage from the Wii U version
- I intend to keep the video around 10 mins in length.
- I will feature no more than 3-4 clips per player. (EDIT 2/26 maybe 5)
- I will prioritize featured clips by competitive/tournament play
- I will prioritize footage submitted by prominent players (tier list placement)
- I will prioritize footage submitted by users with the most Smashboards and other community activity
- I will prioritize footage that is highly impressive or creative
- I do my best to feature at least one clip from everyone who contributes, unless his or her only footage submitted is truly quite lackluster

- Post/PM me links to footage you've hosted through Dropbox, OneDrive, etc.
- Post/PM me links to YouTube videos AND specific times containg the clip(s) you want featured.
- PM me with the approximate timing of a moment in a replay (ONLY if the replay is longer than YT upload limit) and send the replays to my netid mgleed (this is the least preferable method, and I may not be able to capture all of clips submitted this way).
