Hot take: If we were gonna get a rep from FE Fates, I would've preferred it to be Azura

For the final DLC? Nah.
If they announce a third fighter's pass (through Sakurai's tears and dashed dreams of relaxing in life)? Significantly more so.

For first party characters, the main one I'm keeping my eyes on is Ayumi Tachibana. Not just because of the recently released remakes, but also due to being a popular character with fans in Japan on top of being around for over 30 years and that her games often ranked in the top 10 best games for the Famicom and Super Famicom respectively.
I think E.M.M.I. from the upcoming Metroid Dread might be a cool fighter or Assist Trophy in the future, but for the former I wanna play Dread for myself before I have a concrete idea of how E.M.M.I. could play.
