Try saving it as a JPG or GIF format or screenshoot your desired avatar on a different video player

I think it's just the resizing thats the problem.

And I think png saves pictures in better quality than in jpeg.

Anti-aliasing is the right term I think... where resizing or rendering an image cleans up edges so it doesn't look pixelated. Perhaps there's some kind of resizing program online that can anti-alias?

Photoshop can save higher quality JPEG haha...

Sometimes JPG files are too large though.

PNG files are smaller it seems so I usually end up having to convert it into PNG files anyway .

man, I really like this show. It has the potential to be incredibly hilarious and yet still different from the few other music animes out there...

and GIMP is a lot like photoshop from what I hear...a lot of similar features, different interface, etc.
