The Contributions of 08ers On Our Boards

Many 08ers on the Marth Boards have greatly helped Marth's Meta Game whether it is helping with Matchups or helping certain people get better, I think that the Marth Boards would not be as helpful or informative as they are now without the numerous 08ers that some people seem to think are terrible and just jumped on the bandwagon. So here is a shout out to all the great 08ers that have helped me and many other people as well get better and also better understand Marth's potential and strategies: Thank you SJtueneklI2nnTdheTrunk, Zelda Master Timmy, VietGeek, 3XSwords, Nibbity, Proverbs, Desire, and many others for helping make our Boards great.

People are respected by what they contribute not what date they joined. The stereotypes related to date joining is just that, a stereotype. Even the many that came from 08 instigate the stereotype against the others when deemed necessary.

I think you misunderstood what I'm saying. I'm not saying their contributions are more than anyone else's contributions, what I'm trying to do is erase that stereotype which is definitely evident all over Smashboards by telling people that 08ers can make contributions, and big ones at that. And I don't see how this is redundant, I've never seen another thread like this one before.

But seriously, it's very good to see active newcomer.. Brawl attracts newer players that's for sure.

A little off-topic and maybe I shouldn't be asking this in an 08'ers thread but, has Smashboards seemed to have lost more and more long time members lately? Sure, Melee is 7 years old, but I'm barely seeing any 2004-2006 members lately.

I think you misunderstood what I said.

You do not need to spell this out to people. Right now you're falling under the 08 stereotype. I don't think anyone thought it necessary to thank specific contingents of Smashboard users. And I know you're not saying others have done less. I just don't believe this topic is anything other than a spam fest.

The 08 stereotype won't last forever. The people who registered and stay that way will most likely leave as they get bored of the game or find something else to fill in their time. Eventually there'll be a whole new 'year' of people registering; and by then the stereotype, just like this TOPIC, will be mostly redundant.

OK Shaya, I'm kind of starting to see your point now, and although I don't agree with your opinion, you definitely have a valid idea, and I respect that, and if this turns into a spam fest, it will get closed (hopefully) but if you don't agree you don't have to, you can just ignore this thread and never look at it again. I think you and say Nibbity (who just posted in this thread) also have different ideas, because someone like him thinks it's a good idea, so although you dislike this thread, I think some people will like it, and I made it for those people specifically.
