I finally got the Conduit yesterday. Obviously I couldn't wait to play the game. Waiting for almost a year and a half. I managed to finish the campaign and played 1 game of multiplayer. I enjoyed the game so much, and was about to play with SkyleyOcon.

Fate is mean.

The disc then goes defective, and it couldn't be read any more. I then tried popping in another game...to no luck. My Wii wouldn't read disks any more. I was pissed and I was depressed that it wouldn't work.

It worked again this morning and with a prayer, popped in the Conduit again. This time my Wii permanently got killed. It couldn't read any thing any more. I was stunned.

I then called Nintendo. The result was the walk in repair center. My warranty was expired so no free repair... 84$ to repair my Wii.

Well what turned into the greatest day of my life turned into utter ****. I mean how the heck did this happen? I'm now stuck with no gaming consoles and my P.C sucks for gaming as well...so that's it.

I had only one question to ask.

How could this happen to me?

EDIT: I think every one is missing the point that my Wii still WORKS to some extent. I just can't play game's with disks. I'm not Wii-less. Yet.

Wow, bummer man. Even if your warranty is up, I still don't think it's right they make you pay when one of their games killed your console >.>

Right here, not quite now
Sure, your Wii broke down. I THOUGHT my Wii broke down three times. For some reason, electrical cords hate me.

These are the ones I'm NOT using, they are worthless. These cost me about 100$ in total.

I thought I should try a new model and bought an...

... "adaptor"...

... for "Wü"...

Oh well, at least it works.

This is why I don't buy games about people stuck inside of powered armor shooting aliens, guys.

But in all seriousness, that sucks. It actually sounds like an overheating to me.

Is the game even that good?
Single Player is alright, but the muti player is golden.

Also sorry to hear about your Wii Darkslash. I don't think they should had charged you because of the game messed it up, but I guess they will bring the reason why it stopped I guess.

The first few levels of the game have you fighting in a tuxedo.

I should try asking them that, but then again I returned the defective game.

Sue the developers of The Conduit.

On a serious note, you could join my bandwagon of Wii-less Trolls of SWF.

I think something kind of similar this happened to me...I played Brawl a lot without playing any other games, and I am the only person in my family that has played Twilight Princess lately, but when I tried to play TP recently, it didn't work >.> I have tried numerous times, but it still says disk read error before it gets to the title screen. This could have something to do with the TP hack fixer in Wii 4.0 >:(

D'awww... you sent it with that link?

That sucks... My Wii has the exact same symptoms as yours from SSBB and they don't seem to be charging me.

Anyone hyped for this game should go buy Halo 3, HL2 or Far Cry like, immediately. >_>
Meh, I didn't like Far Cry that much (though I only played the 2nd, and heard it blew chunks), and Halo is overrated in my opinion (though it's still a solid and fun game.).

That being said, most likely, if you're hyped for Conduit, you own only a Wii and can't play other good shooters on those consoles that you know, don't completely suck with 3-5 redeeming games.

On a different note, they need a new Timesplitters game. I heard the company that made them went bankrupt though, which is a shame, because if they made a new one with the story elements of TS: Future Perfect and the Multiplayer of TS2 (don't get me wrong, Future Perfect had a cool multiplayer too, but not quite as awesome as TS2 IMO), I would be the happiest man alive.
A new Serious Sam would be great too.

So the only thing protecting you in the first stages were nothing but fine dress wear. Imagine the reactions of human soldiers.

Luckily no regenerating health on these levels. Actually would that even be lucky>?

That happened to me too.
I sent it into repair, but instead of getting it back, they game me a brand new Wii console.
