Top Tier - Characters that are obviously awesome and have proven such by winning large tournaments nationwide.
Upper Tier - Characters that are obviously awesome and consistently place high in tourneys nationwide, have decent matchups vs everyone.
High Tier - Characters that have effective moves and techinques, and are popular, but have yet to show full potential consistently taking top spots at tournaments.
Mid Tier - Large lump of characters with various techniques and strategies, but have yet to grow in popularity and consistently take top spots at tournaments.
Low Tier - Characters that sometimes can surprise you but for the most part lose a majority of the time. Really bad matchups vs. higher tiers. Little to no tournament viability thus far.
Bottom Tier - Characters that are borderline awful and ineffective, not popular in the tournament setting, horrible matchups with almost everyone else in the game.

PT is mid or even high IMO. squirtle is one of the best in the game. m2k even thinks that if squirtle didnt have to switch, he would def be top, if not one of the best in the game

ivysaur is good with his bullet seed, and charizard overall isnt bad at all. the three together def work pretty nice

Toon Link should be high tier because I can beat every character on high tier with no problems. I always get put out by a snake or MK in tournaments, but I am the only one maining him thats been going to tournaments consistently. His popularity does kinda suck but still is a good enough character to do good in tournaments maybe not win them but atleast place high.

Yeah, I don't endorse this list. I'm sure we all calculated where they should be in regards to tiers, but not in what order. I think Top and High should look like this.

Weird. I consider PT to be one of the worst in the game. All 3 are gimpable and every 30 seconds their moves get more stale, maxing out finally at 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Just run away for that long and they have to switch.

I guess that just fits more with my playstyle... plus, ROB is a bad matchup for them.

i think pt is better than that lol, if thats the case he'll be my low tier character.

other weird placements i see are peach/ness being too high and pt/diddy/toon link/jiggz being too low, but your top/upper look pretty accurate imo
