The songs are in DSP format, a common format for Gamecube music. Every song in Wario World music is split into two files, one for the left channel, one for the right. I have to piece them together.

I'm surprised I didn't notice it before. I replaced the file on the site, so give it a try now. Also, music replacements on the Melee stages always come out really quiet for some reason, just in case that's where you put it.

The reason they're quieter is because every song slot in the game has its own internal volume. Melee stages just happen to be much quieter than brawl stages. :/

I can make looped BRSTMs (since IMO, it's more fun making them loop, than just dragging into a converter and doing nothing).
