Random stuff about the story if anyone cares. All of the following are spoilers...
All of the Nox Nyctores:
No. 01 - Highlander: Take-Mikazuchi
- Owned by the NOL. Its form is that of an attack satellite. The kanji for Highlander is literally "Giant" and is localized as "Gigant". Take-Mikazuchi is a Japanese thunder god and patron saint of warriors.
No. 02 - Hyouken: Yukianesa
- Owned by Jin. Its form is that of a Japanese sword. Hyouken is localized as "Mucro Algesco". Yukianesa, "snow woman", is a Japanese fairy.
No. 03 - Majuu: Bolverkr(sp?)
- Owned by Noel. Its form is that of a pair of handguns. Noel calls them Demon Guns, localized as Arcus Diabolus. Bolverkr is the name of Odin, disguised in his human form.
No. 04 - Kishin: Nirvana
- Owned by Carl. Its form is that of an automaton. Kishin is localized as "Deus Machina". Nirvana is a transcendent state of enlightenment and tranquility in Buddhism.
No. 05 - Mujin: Musashi
- Owned by Jubei. Its form is a pair of kodachis, one stored in each end of the sheath. It's apparently named after Musashi from the kendo manga/anime series "Musashi no Ken" (note: this is not the same kanji as the legendary Miyamoto Musashi).
No. 06 - Zanma: Ookami
- Owned by Hakumen. Its form is that of a nodachi. Ookami means "Howling God".
No. 07 - Raigou: Muchourin
- Its owner and form are unknown. Muchourin means, very roughly, "Untolled Bell".
No. 08 - Jasou: Ouroboros
- Owned by Terumi. Its form is unknown. Ouroboros is the symbol of a snake eating or biting its own tail. (But now we know what it is don't we?)
No. 09 - Houyoku: ???
- Its owner, name, and form are all unknown. (Actually due to the fact that all of the other Nox are known, this Nox has to be Bang's. It is speculated to be the giant nail on his back, but it's also possible that it's the gauntlets that he wears.)
No. 10 - Shinki: Murakumo
- Owned by Nu. Its form is that of huge sword that can transform into armor; it's actually Nu's true form. Murakumo means "Gathering Clouds", derived from Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi, the "Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven".
All of the Sankishin:
First is the Amaterasu Unit, also known as the Master Unit. Its whereabouts and owner are unknown. It's named after Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess. (Basically, in Noel's story, Terumi manages to erase her memories and turn her into the one thing that Terumi desired: Master Unit Kusanagi, which he plans to use in his goal to destroy Master Unit Amaterasu. Noel's eyes are the only ones that can find Amaterasu in the Boundary. Terumi wishes to use those eyes to locate it and use Kusanagi (Noel again) to destroy it.)
Second is the Susano'o Unit, owned by Hakumen, who also weilds a Nox Nyctores, implying that he has extraordinary strength. Its full capacity is unknown, though it seems that Hakumen's soul is bound to it; when Jin was on the verge of death, Rachel installed him into the Unit. Because he was not fully salvaged from the Edge, he's apparantly operating at only about 20% of his full capacity. It's named after Susano'o, the Storm God.
Third is the Tsukuyomi Unit, owned by Rachel. It's described as an ultimate defense and resembles a giant golden shield. It's named after Tsukuyomi, the Moon God.
Random stuff about the story in Continuum Shift:
-Noel turns to Kusanagi. God knows how they are going to take it out or restore her.
-Jin is actually nice enough to Tsubaki that he's not treating her like trash when he treats everyone else like trash, except Ragna, but that's another story.
-Jin has overcome Yukianesa's influence, but then... his desire to kill Ragna seems to stem from his own heart. Meaning... he's evil right from the start?
-Arakune could speak normally for awhile, and he tells Litchi to stop drawing power to the Boundary as it has corrupted her, just not yet completely like him. Meaning... Litchi will become like 'Eddie' in CT's sequel (animated corpse controlled by Lao Jiu)?
Jin has been going on a tangent about killing Ragna because of Terumi (not because he knows Ragna has the black beast, yadda, yadda). Terumi had influenced him in some way.
Yukianesa (Jin's sword) had not been telling him to be a homicidal maniac because Jin is actually immune to the effects of the Nox.
We don't really know why Jin wants to kill him at this point. He apparantly breaks away from Terumi's influence but still wants to kill Ragna. It might be lingering effects or Jin just being a crazy mofo.
Terumi chose to leave the Susano unit sometime before Jin fell back into the past. Hakumen can feel traces of Terumi because apparently the way he left the unit wasn't very clean.
Terumi was most definitely the one responsible for Nine's (witch hero) death.
Terumi really, really friggen hates Rachel. The feeling is mutual.
Terumi more or less confirmed that Rachel's butler was one of the six heros.
Man I love the story of this game.
