Some results from Ultimate Top 8 so far:

Samsora beats Rfang 3-1, Rfang brought it back pretty well in Game 3 after a devastating Game 2 but wasn’t able to pull through in Game 4. Great showing by him nonetheless.

Tweek beats Shuton 3-2 with a surprising switch to Wolf in Games 4-5 to take the set. Shuton definitely gave the Wolf a challenge though. Shuton and Rfang are out at 7th.

Maister 3-0 Zackray

Zackray went Corrin for this match, apparently. I know that Corrin was his SSB4 main, but it was an interesting choice. The end result was a Game & Watch up B OoS simulator. lol
The Joker pick started better, but went downhill quickly. Not too surprising considering how much Maister has played MkLeo's Joker, either through bracket or through streams.

Right now, Maister and Dabuz are the most poised to get the next two Summit slots.

Edit:
Whoever wins between Maister and Dabuz in winner's finals is also guaranteed a spot at Summit.
If Zackray loses to Tweek or the winner of Nairo vs Samsora, then both Maister and Dabuz are guaranteed into Summit. However, if Zackray manages to beat Tweek and the winner of Nairo vs Samsora, then things get really interesting for one of the two slots.

Yeah Nairo brought out DK for his umm "traditional" Game 1 Superheavy pick vs Samsora . He actullay did okay though but won all the games with Palu. The set ended again with Samsora SD'ing

Is Nairo vs Samsora going to be the new Marss vs Maister?

Man, I don't know what I was expecting from the Dabuz/ Maister matchup, but not something this entertaining. Maybe it's just seeing players adapt after losing the first couple of matches... great stuff

EDIT: Now probably my 2 favorite Smash Ultimate players duking it out: Nairo v zackray. I've anticipating good things from this set...
