The Battle of Experience
A Newcomer vs Veteran Showdown!





Welcome to my second online tourney which is going to be a themed 16 man tournament.​

Do you remember Super Smash Bros Melee for Gamecube and do you think that the veterans of this game would destroy the newcomers of Super Smash Bros Brawl? Whatever the answer this tournament will be testing your skills with these characters to see if its better to be experienced or be new and fresh​

How does this tournament work?

The way this tournament will work is that the Veterans which consist of the 20 characters in Super Smash Bros Melee (excluding the removed characters) and will have their own bracket which will have 8 players in. Another 8-man bracket is also created for the 16 Newcomers of Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Entrants will do their matches in the bracket that their character belongs in, for example, if a player chooses Sonic then that player will be in the Newcomer brackets whereas if the player choose Mario then that player will be in the Veteran bracket.

The Winners of the Veteran and Newcomer brackets will then face each other in an epic battle of new and old to see which generation comes up on top :bee:


The Normal Rules:

Best 2/3 set (Finals are Best 3/5)

3 stocks, 8 mins, NO Items

Single elimination

Both Players are to report the results of the match that they have played

Make sure you pm the person you are playing as soon as you can after the brackets are made

To join this tourney you must have over 50 posts, sorry about this but its too prevent random people that join and will then never show up

The Other Rules:

Only one character can be used in either the Veteran or the Newcomers bracket

Different players can use the same characters as along as they are in the correct group

Quitting or restarting the match without a good reason will result in loss of the match or the set

Metaknight's infinite cape is banned

No stalling (No chain-grabbing/infinites past 300%)

If the timer runs out, the winner will be based on the number of stock or the percentage if the stock is the same

It sucks that the game was designed to have the newcomers be superior. See air dodge data and the current tier list for details.

Ive added both of you, Kirby and Blazer :)

Kirby you have put Luigi and Jigglypuff as your characters, you can only pick one character so what will it be?

Derk, you can only use one character and it has to be in the veteran group since the newcomer group is full, so is it mario or ice climbers?

Same problem.
Once I signed in, it says I don't have the priviliges. Save the picture and post or just post the brackets on here without a picture?
