Hello all!

Hey I know some guys in BC that would lke to host/hold SSBM Tournaments. They posted posing the question of if there would be interest in the guys from GC going up there for a tournament and no one posted back at them on my Forum.

So.. if you all are interested in another set of tournaments or need someone to regularily host a tournament for you all, please check out www.xygotegames.com and let them know!

Also, of course, check www.gameclucks.com and post to our forum also :)

From what I've read, DK got moved into mid tier because of CJ owning with him...

I say Y.link, Roy, Pichu, and Doc will be removed as well but I also think Marth will.

I think its fake. Cel-Shaded Link should not be called YoungLink and I don't think he ever will.
I also think I read somewhere before saying that it was hard to have the amount of characters they did in SSBM and that he would keep the number of characters around that. 30-40 seems a bit much. If there were that many characters I doubt there would be a need to remove characters.

Falco new move set! I'm hoping for no more laser as he will have that giant bazooka xD

Falco without the Lasers!!! OH NOES!! T_T. I have a feeling that Y.Link will stay :dizzy: its just that the WW, MC, 4S, PH link is totally different from the dark and mature link.

isn't it roy, not marth who will get removed? I don't like roy. all the n00bs are like ZOMG HE HABS FIRE and thinks he's the best.

Marth is the very first lord of the Fire Emblem series, and since the Lords keep changing each game he can be considered to be the main Lord, but than again... i don't even know who the first Final Fantasy hero was :laugh:

Haha the first Final Fantasy Heros were the "Hero's of Light" You get to choose your 4 characters that you use for the whole game. :laugh: Characters you get to choose...
Fighter/BlackBelt/Theif/BlackMage/WhiteMage/RedMage. This is like the hardest FF game ever.(NES Version) If you play it expect to miss 50% of your attacks LoL. Its like 5-10 minutes per battle.
But if your wondering who the first hero was that had a name and was the main character it would be Cecil from Final FantasyII(USA)/IV(JPN)
I am also not talking about Final Fantasy Legends, Adventure and Mystic.

Marth was the prince not the lord if I recall. He was like a prince that betrayed his country because it was currupted or something like that. Haven't played it for a while now can't remember it all.

Eric Biweekly smashfests would be better. I don't think people would like to go down there every week because its hard for people to get down there.

No, I'm pretty sure Marth is the first lord. Roy however was put into SSBM to advertise for the upcoming GBA game which featured him. Since that's over, his purpose has been filled. He was just a marketing tool.

Oh I guess I was mistaken for another FE game. All the main characters almost look alike and all girly. *Cough* Ike *Cough*

Eric I thought of something... If you did rent that place out just to fit everybody for the tournament, I am possitive that most of the people won't go and the numbers will go back down to 25-30. So its a hard choice. I know for a fact that people won't go if you rented it because it will be like 2-3 hour bus down there.

EDIT!: Well I think I was right. Trophie in SSBM says...
The betrayed prince of the Kingdom of Altea, the blood of the hero Anri flows in Marth's veins. He was forced into exile when the kingdom of Dolua invaded Altea. Then, wielding his divine sword Falchion, he led a revolt and defeated the the dark dragon Medeus. Afterwards, Altea was annihilated by King Hardin of Akanea.

So I was right in some way. But the kingdom betrayed him and not vice versa.

Roy was in a GBA game?! He was part of FireEmblem 1 with Marth.

Naw, he was in Fire Emblem 7 I beleive which was the game before Fire Emblem 8 with Eliwood/Lyn/Hector (was the prequel to FE7.) After that would be FE: Sacred Stones and FE: Path of Radiance.
Arg I read somewhere that the 'Fire Emblem' was the title of Marth's Shield, so I'm kind of wondering where his shield is in SSBM >.>

And Ryan, vice-versa basically means "the other way around", according to Wikipedia (I never knew it was a latin phrase :dizzy: )

Jeremy has to be going! I just can't imagine Darius going to a smashfest without him. Seriously I have never seen Darius at a smashfest/tourney without Jeremy.

Jeremy is so funny with his comments. If he goes we get to kick him in the balls more! xD

yes, peach needs to be BETTER. please nintendo, make the top tiers better and the bottom tiers worse. make the differences MORE extreme please.

Well if i do decide to host it there im gonna need some help....
I also need extra people to find a better place if there is one....
Or we just gonna have to go with the 30 people limit, but i dont wanna do that :(

Well I've checked around Eric. Everywhere around here is like $20/ hour. So its either that or $20 per person at the place your going to or if you can get a discount. Its still a lot.

If we rented out a room in a community centre that holds like 75 people thats enough room. At $20 an hour it would only be $200 for 10 hours. So we have 40 people coming to the tourney... Have everyone pitch in $5 for the place and we have $200 right there. Then reduce singles to $5 or something.

hmmm, John I'm not sure about reducing singles Idea... but charging $5 as an entry fee for something like that DOES sound like a good idea. Did my mom say 30 people MAX? hmm, I'm sure we could go over a bit and push for a 32 or 26 person tourney :D that would be nice to work with :)

Ok its either have a 32 person tournament here or rent out a place closer then Langley.. since thats too far away to host a tournament and seems like to much of a hassle.. unless u guys want to host it there... (john knows what im talking about)

But i would worry to much about the limit yet... since we got 22 people Confrimed for the tournament so far... also im afraid people wont bring there TV supplys like last time... Please oh PLEASE bring TV's to the tournament! :)

If it's in Langley.. I can stop by my buddys place in surrey and pick up his t.v it's small but easy to carry.
I don't really mind having to go to langley to play smash as long as someone wants to bus with me there cause its boring to go alone.
Unfortuantly all the tv's I own are far to big and I don't own a car, if my dad were to drive me there and back.. which I doubt.

Let's just try to get atleast 4-5 tv's it will all be good! people will start leaving towards the end everyone will get a chance to play enough. :)

I'll try my best to find a t.v in richmond and carry it to you're place or drive there, because i'll be staying at jasons place the night before and thats a few blocks from your house. (We going to practice all night if we have to :p )

But I will defitnly bring my cube.

Yes Kensington is I think $25 per hour. I can't remember because I saw a lot of places for rent. But what I was looking for was all $20 - $25 per hour. Killarney is expensive and the rooms are either way to big and not worth it or to small. I'm leaning towards Kensington right now. I'll give you some more info when I'm not to lazy to post them.

Okay... Here are the places I asked.
Kensington Community Centre
Board Room - $25 per hour. Capacity: 75 People. $100 Desposite. Yes its just a deposite you get it back at the end unless we destroy the place.

Douglas Park Community Centre
Gym - $30 per hour. Capacity: 150 People

These are the 2 I think are suitable.

The other ones are like $40+ Just for a room that fits 60 people.

if its in langley, i could bring one t.v. for sure, maybe 2, i live about 5mins away from the community centre, wherever it is, ill be there
