k, I think we need to have at least one, maybe two STD's before the July 1st tournament. So I guess the first and most important question is: Is anyone willing to volunteer their house for an STD?

Secondly, how much interest is there? No point in having one if attendance sucks ***.

I'm very interested in an STD. I'd like to get to one as soon as possible. =P lol it should be an overnight thing. Smash Til Dawn. Everyone plays their best when they are deprived of their sleep. How many people are we looking at =P? and who's house is big enough to have people there at like 10pm?

Well I'm interested because I think I was the one who got Tiep interested a long while back... I posted something about the STD things.
The things about these STD's are that most of us are going to be very loud... and someones parents are most likely sleeping and us being loud will just make them kick us out.

This is a very very long shot... but I can try and convince my friend if I can use his place... His place is soooo big that we definately have enough room and his parents are always on the top floor where as we would be in the basement...

His basement is huge, like 1 room has a 124 inch projector screen and a pool table in it... but of course this is not my house so I have to ask him about it. We of course would need T.V.'s

Yea I dont expect to be playing on the projector but I was just trying to give you guys an image of how big it is.

I'll ask him later today or tomorro after the grad ceremony. I'll try to figure out a date if possible.

no stick with Adams.. since u cơdnt even beat his last time
It's funny cuz my Marth REALLY does suck... :embarrass

Manuel I think all it is, you just need to play SMARTER, just play patiently and attack when u see an opening, and if u can't get an opening then MAKE one by wave/dash dancing and stuff, tricking out your opponent and going in for the quick grab if they sidestep or try to do a move on you. Just keep playing us more and more , play comps LESSS, and only play by yourself if your in training mode practicing technical **** like moving faster and SHFFLINg and whatever...

"I couldn't even get 2 stock off Adam's Ganon with my IC, I don't think that's good"

John - Easy there John :psycho: haha

I played on one of those projection screens at the tournament in Edmonton back in May 2005. Me and Wilfred pwn't on that projection screen =D

I'm thinking of holding a a small tourney in Dawson Creek. I KNOW Acea would come, A lotta kids from my school would come and people out and about town would come. Anyone here live in the Dawson Creek/ Taylor/ Fort St John/ ect. Area?
Thats a bit far for us... we live on the West Coast of BC Vancouver so thats not gonna happen unless someone would be wanting to have a drive trip there or somethin but that probably wont happen..

Holy crap that leaving ceremony was soooo long and boring!

Anyways I'm to tired right now to ask my friend if we could use his place.

Rushan - Do you know why Alex came back to the grad ceremony? He was pretty much homeschooled for the whole year yet he is still registed under DT and little stuff like that... He went to the prom and now the ceremony. Its kinda funny that he was allowed to.

I actually didn't even know Alex was homeschooled. That would explain why I've seen him less though. I noticed that Danny Yip wasn't there >_> He still has his gown too. Now he has to pay postage to send it to Winnipeg XD Yeah, it was really freakin' long. Took so long to get to me too =(

My cousin is younger than me (3 weeks) but she graduated before me >=O! She's homeroom 12D and I'm homeroom 12L.

Oh well. GRAD 06 > all you nubs doing portfolio and all you nubs who never did grade 10 provincials! That would be everybody younger and older than us >_>;

Anyway, back to smash talk. Eric, will you guys have time to hold low tier tourney July 1st?

I can garuntee you that there will not be enough time for a low tier tourney Rushan. With the amount of people who are expected to go right now singles could possible take 4-5 hours or longer. Then there are doubles and crew battles.
We barely had enough time to do all that with Skypal last time.

the only reason why ICs are in high instead of middle is because of chu. otherwise, chu would **** all low tier tourneys.

I don't think they would bump IC to high tier just because Chu is so godly at them. Like they wouldn't bump Marth above Shiek because Ken is so good with Marth.
I've been playing IC more often lately and I think they do deserve to be high tier. They also can be pretty deadly if you know how to desync and do crazy combo's. But a lone IC is bottom tier. :( They only reason they are bottom of high tier is because when Nana dies there goes your combos and recovery. If only Nana was smart enough to recover on her own... Popo must be very desperate to marry someone so stupid. xD

if they bumped marth because of ken, it wouldn't change anything in tournaments. because they bumped ICs to high tier, Chu can't use them in low tier tourneys. thus nickel schmickel

Yes bumping Marth would do nothing to the tournament results but it was just an example that they wouldn't bump any character just because "one" person is so godly at that character.

So lets say if someone was soooo good at ummm let's say DK, I don't think they would bump him up to high tier just because one person would win most of the low tier tourney that s/he enters.

Overall I just don't think they bumped him to high tier to prevent Chu from winning all low tier tourneys. Sure he did give IC's a big name and put them where they are but not for tournament reasons.

Actually the meta-game is a large consideration in the tier list's creation. So Chu did play a big role in the IC's climb. Also FYI Marth wasn't always where he is. I think he jumped to top tier around the time that Ken appeared, although I can't say for certain.
