-edit* hey shaun, just asking because we mostly use your wii at fests, but are you against all stage textures? There are some that keep the stage the exactly the same but only change the background. so it wouldn't effect your pikmin. watching some videos i see some amazing ones that aren't crazy colors/flashing lights/big monsters or anything. they're pretty subtle and in good taste but just give the stage a slightly different feel.

I am against all stage textures, yes. They're incredibly distracting, regardless of how much they deviate from the original design.
I also don't like MOST character textures unless they don't deviate too much from the original character design, which is why I had to get rid of my awesome teal Olimar texture. :<

also shaun, another suggestion if you don't want to add textures is just to not have them on when playing, but put them on when uploading videos. i think a few people do this. a few textures makes videos more pleasant to watch imo

Some textures also desync the replays, though. That Lylat texture looks beautiful, though.

Dunno when my last fest will be. I'm flying to CA this Friday, and I'll be in Houston for Thanksgiving the next Friday. Then the Friday after that is the Friday before I graduate, so I'll be with my family.
