I can drive or carpool with you guys. I need to make sure that my laptop can handle streaming. If not, I'll be lugging my PC for a double stream.

Also, smashfest tomorrow starting around 7pm. I have work until then so I can't start any earlier.

While I do TA 2B a lot, I'm doing 2J this quarter.

I do like being a TA for the most part, although grading is tedious.

There's no way I'm going to be awake at 6pm today, but if things are going on later into the night, I might be interested.

So I'm saving up for a really nice TV (32" - 40") due to making bank at my new job.

I'll be buying it sometime within the next month. I've done a lot of research, and there are a couple groups of people that use professional equipment to test TV's for input delay with regards to video games.

The best I've found is an input delay of 6ms--compared to a CRT with no input delay whatsoever--for a really nice LCD TV. An input delay of 17ms* is roughly equivalent to 1 frame of lag.

I understand that CRT's are the preferred option for melee players, but would a 1/3 frame delay really be that noticeable if we were playing melee on it? I hear that there is a professional melee player that uses an LCD TV for gameplay. Who might that be and where could I find out what TV he uses? I think the delay would be bearable, but I want your opinions first before I decide which TV to buy.

My price range is around $700. LETS FIND US A SEXY TV.

*Keep in mind that the value for ms that these testers use is different from advertised monitor refresh rates. They simply use the same naming for easy reference. Source: internet

Hey, are you guys still doing smashfests (melee hopefully)? I just started lurking this thread today... I'm looking to get some casual games in since I haven't played for about two years now. I'm always down for DotA2 meets too.
