Everyone should get 2 of the Kids On The Slope Original Soundtracks, even you don't watch the anime or whatever, the music is great if you're into Jazz/Piano/Blues etc

Me & Anto vouch for it.

I posted a thread a couple weeks back about moving to Irvine. I have a livestream at http://twitch.tv/mrxacius

I'll be living in a house 5 minutes from campus. I have all of the equipment necessary for melee, Project:M, and brawl. I don't brawl much though. I'll post some gameplay vids of myself here soon.

I move in on Sunday. Do you guys smash regularly every week?

We lost some Melee players at the end of this school year, but still have a decent number of people around. As far as I know, there isn't any Brawl scene here at all. I play PM and a few other people here are okay with it, but I'm the only person really into it.

Activity is sporadic and I'm not sure how often people will be playing this summer and in the upcoming academic year.

If you and I were to start playing together, I'm sure we could get onto the P:M backroom for SoCal. Your name is well-known, and I've seen you play. You're good lol

I'll have roughly 20 units this upcoming semester, but I should still be available on weekends.

Matt, did you go falco the entire rule 6?

If you didn't, I'm not going to help your sheik.
I did actually! I beat Darrel in an MM and was going very even with Darkatma's Peach in friendlies, but during tourney I got beat pretty solidly by both of them. I've concluded that I don't really like Falco vs either of those characters (been struggling vs samus/peach for at least a few months), so I'm working on a sheik for those two matchups specifically.

I'm gonna try very hard for this pocket sheik. If it absolutely doesn't work then I'll probably default to super-duper grinding the peach/samus matchups but I really don't wanna do that lol

Tiiiight. If you have a place to play then we can probably get something going on a regular basis. A big problem for the first part of the summer was that the guy who hosted most often moved out of his place. However, I'm pretty sure we can rejuvenate the scene and that we do have some fairly active players who are pretty good!

EDIT: RyanRF, WHOEVER YOU ARE I SEE U LURKING LOL

Big black couch, 27" LCD + another 22.5" LCD (tested for framerate delay, there is none)

1v1 central.

Smashfest/Livestream at Xacius place? Legit.
**** yeah. I'll have a modem dedicated to the stream. I'll be living 5-10 minutes from UCI, half a mile south of the 405.

I also have a pretty powerful PC, so we could potentially be using my computer as a Wii/Gamecube emulator with GC ---> USB ports. Have you ever played Brawl with 8x Anti-aliasing and Antistropic filtering at 1080p? It's beautiful. Hell, even Melee looks currrent-gen with an emulator and max settings.

My address is 4 Acacia Tree Lane, Irvine CA, 92612. I'll be living with 5 other guys, some of them smashers. Do note that I won't be moved in until the 5th.

Dota 2 is so much better than HoN ryan. You have no idea.
I have over 500 hours played on HoN and Dota 2 separately, and I second this notion.

Dota2 is arguably better than any computer game out right now
It's ****ing addicting.

Also, steam name is Xacius and/or xaciusshade. Feel free to add. After the move up, I'll be live-streaming regularly. To KOREEEAAAA

Next week I'll be back at home and I'm interested in playing before I'm in Norcal. If I give notification a few days before something happens, would anyone be interested to play and/or have a smashfest?

So will your place be available to play on sunday or will you still be completing the move-in?
I should be available, but I can't seem to find my melee disc. I have Project:M and a memory card with all of my melee data, but not the disc itself. I'm moving in on Saturday night/Sunday morning and will be done by Sunday afternoon. I'll be planning on a smashfest that night or Monday. Whichever works better for you guys tbh.
