I've never really been into Bond, but I did enjoy Casino Royale. There has been a lot of Bond films on TV lately, so I watched A View to a Kill the other night. It wasn't as good Royale, but I enjoyed Christopher Walken as a villain.

Is it just another Bond Movie where...

1. first scene, Bond screws a girl.
2. Bond gets mission and gets gadgets
3. Meets and screws bad girl.
4. Saves the world.
5. Screws the good girl

Because if it is, I'm so over it already.

Actually, Bond only has sex with one girl and it's not even the "main" Bond girl.

Which is why the "Bond girl" is so ambiguous in this film and one of the reasons I don't really consider this a Bond film at all.

Waiting for you to slip up.
My God, this movie wasn't very good.

Man With the Golden Gun, Goldfinger, Dr. No, and You Only Live Twice were better.

Hell, even Casino Royale was better. For those that were saying that this Bond was more "Bond" than Royale is right, but...

This is still a very plot-deprived movie. Also, the script was rather poor. I thought of thirty other lines in place of Bond's corny "one-liner" in the opera.

Slowly starting to enjoy my mothertongue again. :)

Another good point; what there is to the dialouge that I enjoyed, it was mostly just simple memorable one liners that fit well into a trailer and between two action sequences, but don't have any real depth or lasting enjoyment. Of course I get a kick out of stuff like "James, move your ***" or whatever Bond says during the opera, but to even compare that to the "I'm the money" scene from Casino Royale would be bordering on blasphemy.

I can't help but quote Mark Kermode; The movie just keeps falling back into action/2nd unit stuff because it's all it can do.

after watching this it didn't feel too much as a bond film. it was a good movie as an action film but i felt it wasn't bond.

Man With the Golden Gun is still my favorite in the series. Suave, lady's man Bond will always be a classic, but Daniel Craig does portray him well. Haven't gotten a chance to catch QoS, but a highly action-driven 007 film isn't too appealing to me. Casino Royale was the best Bond in years.
