Textures now possible without ISO Hacking! (File Patch v3.5.1, fixes info.pac problem

PW has just announced that these codes will not work with custom music simply because the music is streamed and not loaded directly from the disc (that's how textures are handled) so, he says he'll need to do a completely different code for it.
Does that mean he's working on it now or is it more of a sometime-in-the-future goal?
Easy texture hacking doesn't do much for me given that no one has released any good texture packs yet, but being able to replace those obnoxious Sonic songs with something good and give my ears a rest from the constant flow of Final Destination would make wifi decently more tolerable.

looolll i'm so excited for this.
i've been up for a few hours just digging through stack smash and other sites for texture hacks.
can't wait to try them out :p same for the music thing.. i'll try that out too

when will the code expansion thing be publicly released, if you don't mind me asking?
man, there's been so much progress lately. i can't keep up :psycho:

So, for Pokemon Trainer, the first Pokemon called out is texture-swapped, but when I change pokemon, they're their normal colors. And when I go back to the first pokemon, it's back to its original texture as well. And when I return to the character select screen afterward, the whole thing freezes. Will installing the PAC fix this, and if so, do I need to install it into PT's, Charizard's, Squirtle's, and Ivysaur's folders, or just PT's? (Keep in mind that the only PAC that came with the hack was for the Final Smash...)
You need to use the .pac files. If they do not have them, you cannot use the textures. :(

There arne't any packs out yet, but there's a fair few good texture webswites that you can download individual textures for.

Has anyone else tried Zero Suit Samus texture mods? Is there any way to get the ZSS texture to work when you use shield to select her on the screen?

I can get her to work when I use the taunt transform, and when I go into tourney mode (because you can select her individually) but not by using shield on character select.

The ZSS texture I am using is in my avatar btw :)

Needs her .pac file in order to work properly and 100% of the time. If the texture did not come with one, you may need to ask them for it, or just skip the texture entirely.

Textures aren't working for me, I so far have tried Roy, MegaNess, Mewtwo, Young Link, Galacta Knight, and Metroid Trainer. I put the .pcs and the .pac files all in the right place. I also have all 3 codes on, using codemgr to put them on my SD card. Once I start up brawl with the geckoOS, it says something about loading vault data.... probably means nothing, but no textures work in standard brawls. I did wait until the beeping stopped.

Oh, I also noticed one thing on the front page: At one point, it says apps, and another point, it says app. Which is it, for the name of that folder?

Is the one folder that's named "app" named "app"?
The texture file works! It's not a problem with loading it onto the wii, because I can use it.

The problem is that there is no way to load it on a normal battle screen due to the way that ZSS loads. She doesn't load when you click on her portrait, you have to hold down shield when you continue to the stage select screen to load her.

The code given doesn't appear to work correctly when I do this.

First, THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT TRUE :O! I'm so amazed xD.

Now hm... the 165 lines thing, does it mean that I can't really use it for brawl+?

Nope, it'll be the color(s) you replaced the texture(s) with. For example, I replace Fox's default color with a texture, when I go to watch the replay without the codes on, Fox's default color will be there instead of his texture.

Again, replays are only button inputs and never actually record what's onscreen at the time of the replay. You'd have to give it specific instructions (as in a separate code) in order for it to save the texture(s) in the replay as well (much like the names in replays code).

Since ZSS loads on the stage select screen, it's pretty much impossible to get her to load with the texture. It's the same reason that you must wait until the character files are loaded before leaving the character select screen altogether.

That might work... now to find out how to use the CCS code.

Yes it is possible but, I have to repost the codes in order for stages to work as the ones in the OP will not work with stages. (I didn't want to update it until PW fixed the character texture loading times but, I guess I'll update'em now).

v1.1 - Fixed to work for stages.
v1.0 - Replaces all files read from the disk with any files of the same name on the SD card.
I'm just going to post them here anyway simply because apparently, brkirch said textures for chars. aren't working with v 1.1 but I am not 100% sure on that, someone plz test.

So I only have to change the file replacement file? And what about assist trophies, do they work?

Ok, stage texture works! And I was Geno against Boshi, so character textures at the same time works!

Now I need to crank out assist trophies until a AW one comes out...
