Okay, I'd say I'm a fairly decent Marth player, but there is always room to improve. I'm currently trying to get the spike 100% down (I'm probably at 50%). I SHFF with the double fair, I can use tilts easily. Ummm... dunno what else to say, but what are some AT's you'd recommend me learning to improve my game?

Learn to master the Dancing Blades, time your Counter, and move horizontally in the air with Shield Breaker. Then speed it up more, add in some smashes, speed it up more, and then share what you learn.

I do all that as well.

Are there any Marth Specific AT's?

There are few AT's in this game to begin with. The only Advanced Technique i would even advise you learn is the "infinite grab" on Ness and Lucas marth has. You simply grab and do grab attack until they break out and then while they are in the break out animation you grab them again. it only works until 40% and doesnt work on good players because they will jump break out.

the best thing you should learn about marth is spacing and proper punishment. thats the best things a marth player can have.

The grab is not infinite on Lucas.

If you can already do everything in the "Advance Marth Stuff" thread into your game then you're pretty far along. Right now I'm trying to develop some movement stuff with Marth (with the new crazywalk)...

Benjamin Linus: You are incorrect. It's impossible to do a jump break consistently when the infinite is done correctly. It's true infinite on Ness.

Don't you halfstep a bit when you regrab Ness? I tested it on a Ness w/ no DI, a CPU 9 Ness, and did in some unrecorded friendlies with Rent-A-Line's Ness (awesome guy in one of my videos), and I saw that Marth moved slightly forward a bit.

Unless I'm crazy/doing it incorrectly, it's nothing more than an overly long chaingrab that ends once you get to the end of the stage if you can last that long (thumbs get sore since you have to mash it crazy or else your foe can buttonmash out of it).

^^You can also just time the jabs rather than button mashing you know.

And yes you do move foward, but in all practicality it might as well be an infinite, since by the time you reach the end of the level you can just foward/downsmash instead of going for a regrab. They will always be at killing percentage by then, and all of Marth's attacks will be completely refreshed.

I suppose so, assuming you're not already near the edge or grabbed at lower percentages...

But what do you mean by timing a jab? You mean like doing it in a pattern where as soon as your first jab ends, you immediately press A to jab again? Yeah, a nice, slightly fast but not spastic pace didn't seem to work. A Ness was able to jump out of it when I did it like so.

So then I probably don't know what you're talking about and demand you tell me of this "timing." <_<

Well, I don't really consider this a AT, but foxtroting and pivoiting is a good thing to use.
Also, don't forget about stutter stepping and dash-smash canceling.
Those are invaluable to Marth.

If you want there are to others called the Crag walk which can be found here
