meh.

silly as it sounds,

im more of a "themed" team player.

my friend mains mario, i main peach.
and heck, he gets the job done.

as far as im concerned,
so long as your partner has a good Heavy attack, your in the clear.

In that case, Ike is really starting to sound like a good partner for her.

If Melee is any indication, probably someone who can save her from approaching edgeguards easily and protect her, since I recall she had terrible high air -> ground defense.

I think someone with a projectile of sort. Think about it, if Peach is being edgeguarded from the other side, you would need to help her as quickly as possible. Even if the projectile doesn't hit, it'll distract them long enough for the Peach to think of something. Depending on whether or not Fox's Lasers stop you like Falco's does in Melee. If so, then I'd say that Fox would be Ideal.

Samus and Peach are a rather....odd team. Not saying they won't work, but the players have to be good at setting up for KO's and really have to be able to work well together. Samus has some decent KO moves....more than Peach, and easier to set up, but it's a strange combo to pull off.

so? the stranger the better. it doesn't matter if it's a strange combination of characters as long as they win. besides, you can use weird combos to mess with your opponents heads.
