What's up guys. I've been thinking about this for a while, but I wanted more opinions on it. As you probably know, TAS is playing and recording Melee frame by frame or at any speed you want in order to archive near perfect play. But I was thinking, what other uses could TAS have? One really feasible use would be to revive old / bad quality sets into FULL quality videos. TAS videos are in the best video quality/ HD usually.
Before you bring it up, I know how to TAS and I know the time, effort, and trial & error that goes into making a tas video. That being said, I wouldn't expect for every old set to be redone, maybe just like a couple important / hype sets here and there that are just really awful quality.
For example, this match everyone knows is the most viewed melee match, yet it's quality is horrid lol. It could be so much more enjoyable in HD, and that goes for all the other hype sets as well.
The things that would need to be taken into account.
But even with that, it still wouldn't be that hard, just a little time consuming. And with the original video right there beside you as reference, re-enacting it would be cake.
What do you guys think about that?

- People would need to find the time to do it
- Random events, like a match on stadium could **** up the TAS.
- Phantom hits, stitch, ceiling glitches etc.
