Official announcement?
No.

But through intelligent research, I've concluded that localization is more than likely deep within the realm of possibility and probability.

How? I viewed the trademark, which can be found at http://tarr.uspto.gov/

I searched and found the trademark for Tales of Graces (http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=serial&entry=77689925), and reviewed it. One thing that caught my eye was the Filing Basis, which shows 1(b).

Now legal definition of a 1b filing basis states "
You'll note it's a 1B. When your basis for filing is 1B it means you haven't used it in commerce yet -- that would be 1A, Use in Commerce -- but you intend to:

Intent to Use

Check this box if actual use of the mark in commerce that the U.S. Congress can regulate (i.e., interstate commerce, territorial commerce, or commerce between the United States and a foreign country) has not yet occurred, but instead there is simply a bona fide (good faith) intention to use the mark in commerce at a later time after filing of this application. The intention to use may be by the applicant, the applicant's related company, or the licensee of the applicant. You may file under more than one basis, but you may not file an application based on both use in commerce under §1(a) and a bona fide intention to use a mark in commerce under §1(b) for the identical goods and or services (e.g., you cannot list "shirts" under Section 1(b) and Section 1(a), but you could list "shirts" under Section 1(b) and "pants" under Section 1(a)). NOTE: If filing under this basis, you will be required to submit a demonstration of use (i.e., submission of a form with an additional fee and a specimen (sample) of said use) later in the prosecution process of the application.

Use in Commerce

Choose this basis if actually already using the mark in commerce that the U.S. Congress may regulate (i.e., interstate commerce, territorial commerce, or commerce between the United States and a foreign country) in connection with the goods and/or services identified in the application. You must be able to provide the date of first use anywhere and the date of use in commerce that the U.S. Congress may regulate, and a specimen (sample) of said use. Use may be by the applicant, the applicant's related company, or a licensee of the applicant.
"

So in a nutshell, Graces hasn't been localized yet, but they plan on localization.
I've never been so hyped up about a Tales Game since Symphonia 6 years ago, looking at it in a Nintendo Power Magazine. And the TGS just made it a deal.
Man, TGS makes E3 look like the joke that it is, but I digress.

Localization very, very possible, but still keep our fingers crossed, Namco, being the owner of the Trademark, they can choose to change their mind--for any reason, or no reason at all, But being a huge Namco fan, I pray they don't.

Hopefully, we'll get a release date soon after the Japanese one is released. >__<

I really does look amazing, makes you wonder the the graphics team of Dawn of the New World were doing.

The gameplay supervisors too.

I want it to be localized for the sake of people outside of Japan to experience a "Team Destiny" game. Rebirth was trademarked but it never was localized, hopefully this won't follow the same fate.

Regardless, I'm playing this game December.

I can't find the Rebirth Trademark, are you sure it is a registered US trademark?

I found trademarks for Phantasia, Destiny, Symphonia, Legendia, Abyss, Vesperia, DoNW, Graces, VS and Innocence.
Innocence hasn't been ported to the US, but it's Filing Status isn't registered.
For VS and Graces, the Status has completed it's opposition period and it's Notice of Allowance has been issued, which means--A written communication from the US Patent and Trademark Office indicating that a patent application has been allowed,--it will be registered soon enough, as is the other Tales games I've listed.

In any case, I still pray for reassurance in the form of an official announcement.

I've heard that the trademark has expired. Don't take my word for it there since I don't know too much about trademarks and such.
But I'd be really surprised if Namco Bandai doesn't localize this here in the US. Namco's been localizing every 3D console Tales so far.

Maybe there will be a big Tales announcement in the US in the future. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw them announce ToG, ToV PS3, ToW:RM2, and ToV.

I've been so hyped for those games, I wasn't excited about any other 09 game. I've no doubt that this hype will carry to '10.

♣ Aww, I wanted to make a thread about this game because I'm excited to play this game next month. I wonder how hard it is to play this game since it's the longest Tales game made right now. ;p ♥

I'm sure it'll be fairly challenging, but it won't top Eternia.
In terms of difficulty, I found (JPN) Tales of Destiny 2 the hardest.
Melee characters were way too weak in that game. Plus Unknown mode was a pain.

Always wanted to play Destiny 2, still need a PS2 to play it on (and Abyss, which I own), but after the **** that I put up with in Eternia, I doubt it'll top it in difficulty to me.
Seriously, who knows to mash O, X and Square at the end of the final boss or else you die and lose all that progress without an FAQ of some sort. I was pissed when I found that out.

Yeah, I did die at the end of Eternia too since I forgot about that ability.
I do have to admit, that ending battle was epic once you pulled it off. Makes me want an Eternia Remake.

There was a remake, on the PSP, Japan only.
It was released in Europe as well, but the PSP one wasn't a remake. It was just a port with multiplayer removed.
If they ever do a full remake, I'd want it like Destiny or maybe even like Graces if that ends up even better.

I still need to import ToE for the PSP, I have Tales of Phantasia: Full Voice Edition.

Tales of Eternia wasn't too bad in terms of difficulty. It was just that towards the end you needed to level up a bit, I personally went on an exploration trip and found a LOT of things. So fighting the final boss wasn't too bad. What sucked is if you did all of that and didn't know how to finish that sucker off. THAT sucked.

Tales of the Abyss, in my opinion was more difficult than Eternia. Making use of the FoF was kind of a pain since I didn't pay total attention to the tutorial on that, lol. Plus, there are fights that are just...wow....to say the least. Also, it's pretty easy to miss out on some great skills in that game. Just a warning. Symphonia, to me...only proved difficult because of the awkward battle system. Once you get used to that..it's actually pretty straightforward.

my two cents. ^_^

The only thing hard about Symphonia is the glaring flaw in the game,
which is the fact that it's a 3-D real time rpg that only allows you to move in a 2-d plane.

Makes absolutely no sense that there is not a skill for that. I mean, I looked past the other 3D Tales, cause they atleast gave it to you early as a skill (Abyss, Vesperia), but Symphonia seems to be the "F*** some 3D run" series. I mean, Symphonia 2 is the ONLY one that gives it to you out the gate, but what do you get with it? Critical damage EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU'RE HIT IN FREE RUN.

gtfo.

But yeah, Graces? Yeah, it'll be straight, caaaaause it wont be Symphonia or Symphonia 2. I'd rather playin Tales of Marvel vs Capcom 2 (a.k.a. Legendia) than play either one of those.

LOL at spoiler tagging the rant. And yeah, Symphonia's fun, but no free run makes the game dumb at times.
And what do you mean by Graces will be straight?

Uh, well free run wasn't incorporated until Abyss, which came after Legendia, which came after Symphonia.

And before Legendia, every Tales game was a side-scroller battle system.

Why don't you get mad at all of them from Legendia to Phantasia?

I'm a light-weight fan of the series but I really loved Abyss, Symphonia and Legendia. If it plays like TOS2, I won't have too many quarrels with it, but if they don't put more effort into the story than they did with TOS2, I'd be disappointed.

Has localization been confirmed yet? It looks like a very good game.
