Honestly I'm surprised they're going with TGAA duology before Investigations 2. Miles is more recognizable for anyone who's not a Ace Attorney fan and the first Investigations game was already localized. They 'just' needed to localize the sequel, improve resolutions and everything, and I think that would be it.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic but if they're localizing TGAA I'm convinced, as you said, that there's a high chance of Investigations Duology happening. Assuming both TGAA and/or AA7 sell well.

Same. I would rather see Phoenix with faithful alt colors just like Shulk, than seeing Edgeworth doing goofy stuff or Apollo using the magatama instead of his bracelet. Ace Attorney characters are unique in their own subtle ways.

Hero worked because those characters are basically all silent protagonists and are kinda devoid of personality. About the only thing you can do with Phoenix would be to give him an echo fighter with small changes in animations, taunts and stuff. I don't think we'll be getting DLC echoes though, so just Phoenix it is.

Yo if those future plans for AA7 and 4-6 are true, Capcom giving Ace Attorney some much needed attention is pretty damn huge.
Capcom negotiating with Netflix to put the anime is something I find very interesting, since if you ask me, thats a VERY clear sign that they are interested in going the extra mile in promoting AA. And if they go one step further, it could mean an invitation to Smash.

It kinda does make sense to localize DGS first if you think about it. Like Investigations 2, there's already a fan translation and demand for localization, but it's also an entirely new storyline instead of a spin-off that requires you to have played the trilogy first. This would make for a good place to start the series (only assuming this though since I haven't played it yet). Plus, it's being bundled with the trilogy, a much more obvious starting point, and the anime being available on streaming platforms combined with the publicity from the 20th anniversary is probably going to get new people interested in the franchise.

I just saw Street Fighter 6 being a thing, which obviously was in development. Don't know if there's more.

If there's a Capcom rep in Pass 2 Nintendo is probably very nervous about what the hackers managed to stole.

Imagine if FP8 is a Capcom fighter and Nintendo decides to announce the identity of the character earlier than they scheduled in order to avoid a leak lol

That’s particularly curious since the other mobile versions of games weren’t pulled when they went to other platforms. Heck, the mobile version usually comes out LATER.

Not all of the info's out yet. The last few days of news have just been people sifting through the initial 60GB dump (out of 1TB). I'm not sure if that's even done yet, but apparently they dropped 22GB today. It'll take a while before we know everything that's been hacked.

I kind of do want to see a character leak, not because I want to know who the character is but because we'll likely also find out:
How much Nintendo pays for DLC characters
How many people at the 3rd Party actually know about the character
What the negotiation process actually entails
How involved other developers are with the creative process

Seeing how iron-clad leakproofing for Ultimate DLC has been recently, I doubt that Capcom would have info like that, it would be on Sak's side of things.

In any case, I wouldn't be surprised to not see any Smash info at all. Resident Evil being relegated to a spirit event makes me think they may not be prioritizing new characters so much for this time.
