That same tier list says that Marth is bottom tier. I know his range got nerfed, but it's still one of the best in the game, and his tippers make him really powerful for such a fast, light character. Mii Swordfighter has some pretty good ranged options and some decent power and speed, so I wouldn't count him/her out either. But I'm just some noob, so what do I know?

Tiers aren't gospel, especially when that list was made by about a dozen Japanese guys who have the game for about 2 months.
