It seems if they're going for exclusive characters from other companies, they should probably get the best character to represent companies, instead of pulling a bunch from one.

In the unlikely case there are two Sonic characters in Brawl, I'd prefer Sonic and Tails over Sonic and Shadow.

That being said, odds are Shadow will be a costume of Sonic, and Tails won't be there.

As for the abbreviation, in written form SSBB > S2B2 and in verbal form Brawl > All, if more explanation is needed "Smash Bros Brawl" is less syllables and more self explanatory than S2B2 of SSBB.

1)Nobody likes Tails... Tails only has Sonic as a friend, and only wishes that he was as cool as Sonic is. On top of that, given the choice of playing Tails or Shadow, people would chose Shadow.

2)Fan Base. Shadow's popularity grew so fast, that Tails wouldn't have a chance of getting in over him anyways. In just around a year, Shadow's fan base is easily much larger than Tails Fan base will ever hope to be.

3)Did anybody else actually purchase and play Sonic Battle? If you picked Tails over Shadow, then I'm sincerely doubting it. Shadow had a larger range of attacks, and even brings in his famous Chaos Control. His character had his own very unique fighting style (they all did). He had no similarities to any of the charaters. His moves were both very creative, and also much more impresive than Tail's moves were.

4)Did Tails ever have his own game? The answer is no. Tails was not worthy of a game all to himself. Tail's personality was nothing in comparision to Shadows. Tails is a close friend of Sonics, wants to be a hero like Sonic, and was always afraid of doing something wrong all the time. Now lets look at Shadow's personality....

shoklan, Tails has two Game Gear games. He actually had more games than Sonic first(before Sonic CD, anyway) But yes, Tails is just a Peach with new moves. He'd also either float for a long time, or be a floaty. Shadow is better because he's more of a Falcon, but with projectiles and originality. He'd be better than Tails anyday.

BTW, the names of those games are Tails' Skypatrol(bad game) and Tails' Adventures(really excellent game)

I'm new <.< Uh i think in this situation there'd be a better chance of knuckles and tails going in to ssbb because they have more moves from there previous games and if they put tails in it he won't be handicap( sunk down to robotnik's level) but be able to move more freely. They wouldn't make him fly but they'd do something with his jump.Knuckles i don't know how'd they replace the gliding move because it'd be cheap to climb off the side of the walls. (I know this is pretty long bare with me ) If they were gonna put shadow in the new one they would've put sonic in the old one and shadow would be kind of a clone like (fox falco/ Dr mario mario)Just with a bit of diffirences. i'm a Tails Fan ^-^

Tails is more well known and more original, Shadow is just a black Sonic. you could say that Luigi has a want to help you mario personality yet he's still more popular than Bowser or Wario

Any way I think that there are so many fighting styles in the world that it would be pretty easy to make the game characters VERY different.

I would have to say that Shadow would have a better chance then Tails. Hes newer, darker and more battle mature then tails. The only good thing I see with tails is the whole flying thing...and they could do that with Shadow's boots.

If we had to choose I would choose Tails. Not only is he better than Shadow but Shadow. What a wimp, Sonic has to run, but he uses roller skates... I mean, air shoes... whatever. I don't give a **** about what Tails does in his games, he has great potential, and is a genius. When pute fully into it, Tails will go circles around Shadow. Brains usually triumphs over brawn.

I had always played tails in the sonic and tails games on genesis. so yeah, i would choose tails over shadow anytime of the day. I thereby find two of your five conclusions to be false. ^-^

2. Shadow is also pretty popular( Popular enuff ot get his on recent game at least) and seems better suited for this game imo.

4. A character that moves around on "air boots" with chaos power is less original then a character that flys with it's twin tails? I have seen both "air boots" and tail flying many times. . . but not the chaos powers.
