Tails For Ssbb! SINGLE VERSION, NOT PARTNERED LIKE MOST

Yes it is a Tails for AT post mostly. But I'm just saying IF extra 3rd party characters from the same series as another were even POSSIBLE to be playable. It would be Tails 1st, Knuckles 2nd, Shadow or Robotnik 3rd, and Amy 4th.

Looking at the fate of Grey Fox from the MGS series, I think it's safe to say we'll see Tails as an AT.

Yes it is safe to say that Tails will be almost certain an AT. We'd have enough n00bs say it over and over it again. The only ones that I can't tolerate are ones that say Shadow could get in over Tails so easily. I can respect the Knuckles-supporters. For I like Knuckles, It's just people are over rating him because he "Seems to be the fighter type" and that Tails sucks because "All he did was build machines and Follow Sonic around". The more n00bish arguments come from the Shadow over Tails supporters though.

If he was he should fly around in the Tornado 2 and fire missiles randomly at the enemy. That would be a destructive one.
Or he could act as an extra life as previously mentioned. Yay.
Knuckles as an AT should dig underground, do the monty mole trail thing that pops characters up and then drill drive at the nearest one and continue that off the stage.

I'd rather see Tails as an Assist Trophy, and I'd rather see AT Tails be a "1-Up character", which rescues the summoner once from going OOB. The whole concept of a flying AT that shoots stuff is way too played out.

Sonic's best friend was introduced in Sonic 2. Tails would make a great addition for the crew.
THIS IS FOR A SINGLE TAILS, NOT PARTNERED WITH SONIC!
MOVESET:
Jump = His oldschool flying abilities
B = Charge Whip - Tails charges his tails for an ultimate spin, similar to Jigglypuff's spin.
B sideways = Charge gun - Tails pulls out his invention, a charge laser! A crossover of Fox's gun and Samus's charge.
B up - Boxing jump - Tails opens a box that sends him flying up. The box contains A boxing glove
B down - Chao pickup - Tails picks up a Chao playing in the ground. Similar to Peach's turnip.
SPECIAL: Tails calls the Tornado 2 and does a firing raid.
ICON: Sonic team logo, Same as sonic.
Colors : *coming soon*

my opinion is that tails is a ***** and is on par with slippy for a spot on brawl... which is as slim as most people on this message board ever getting laid. shi tss weak

Also I don't even know what you were trying to say in your last sentence, please learn to spell.
I LOL hard at the mention of Slippy since you mentioned him, is not that I hate him but if you're suggesting he's the equivalent of Tails then you're deadly wrong.
Sure they share some stuff in common but they are still pretty different, Tails isn't alway 100% support maybe in the recent game he has been fufilling that role but in the older games and the Adventure Era he was is own character.
Slippy has never done anything but being Star Fox team mechanic, he isn't on par with Tails at all.

That's the problem. We know that, yet people come in and just keep saying the same thing over and over again. We only truly flame the n00bish if they are bias against Tails and say "SHADOW AND/OR SILVER IS BETTER". Sometimes make me want to think of making a Sonic Brawl FAQ (Besides how he fared in E for All) and get it stickied in the Sonic section. I mean, it IS the most popular section. With about 2 to 3 dozen more threads then the rest of the character sections of the Character Discussion. Why not another Sticky to clear even MORE questions up. Even though I'm sure they still wouldn't listen. I hate the complication of n00bs.

Has Knuckles had his own game? Well there is Knuckles Chaotix. But is there one that ONLY Knuckles is playable? There are 2 Tails games including Tails Skypatrol and the one NRWC said, that's about equal to the amount of Shadow & Knuckles (If you count KC) games combined. So Tails has already had games. And I hopefully speak for the whole classic fanbase that he DESERVED THEM.

Thats pathetic, some crap on the game gear. He is a 3rd wheel character. And I hope to God hes not playable in brawl. Hes pretty much the definition of assist trophy.

speedwobbles: We know that for crying out loud. I'd prefer him playable: But I would be happy enough with him being an Assist Trophy. I would not want Tails to be in the way of huger fanbases such as Megaman or any others. But I assure you, if a 2nd sonic rep were to appear: It would be Tails 1st.

It just wouldn't feel right for the Sonic series to gain a rep above a Nintendo franchise such as F-Zero. Surely Captain Falcon will return as the only F-Zero rep yet again. Do you think that Sakauri would let a 3rd party franchise be repped bigger then a 1st-party franchise? I don't think so, and because of that: Tails will be an AT. Nothing More, Nothing Less

But if a n00b doesn't learn his lesson. How will we make sure he/she does not bother discussion in the future. Saying when Tails is confirmed as an AT, he/she says: "HA HA. TAILS IS AN AT NOT A PLAYABLE. YOU LOSE, LOSERS!". And how would Tails take Krystal's spot? Unless there is a limited "Furry" count. I don't think that is possible O_o

Tails is as famous as Luigi lol, everyone played Tails in Sonic 2 and Sonic 3. If you want to know what makes Tails so great then go play those Sega Genesis games or download them from Virtual Counsel.
Also Sonic appeared in Sonic Chaos, Sonic 2, and other Game Gear games long before Knuckles was thought of.
For the more then one third party argument, where did Sakurai just say one per third party? Why would it be fair to have more then on PC for a third party, not like we even out the first party reps. If a Third Party is more popular or has characters that are better for brawl (that is key point there) then Sakurai will put them in.
Whatever characters work the best in smash system, Sakurai will use. People where like wtf Snake in Smash because he is a first person shooter and stuff making him hard to use, however no one saw Sonic as a wtf because Sonic and all his entourage are perfect for Smash bros playstyle.

I'd totally love Tails to be in Brawl.
We all know he got kinda ruined with the gift of voice in recent games, but he's still my favourite Sonic character. (And wayyyy cooler sidekick than Luigi would ever be).
He rules, and I was shattered when I found out the Cruel Melee rumors were fake.
I don't care if he was even a Sonic Clone but with a few unique moves.
He could even use the gliding technique with his tails, or have some moves from Sonic Battle.
Sigh, I don't know if the AT rumors have been proved valid but there's still some hope.

You know, I have to ask what's with the argument that someone will take someone else's spot? No one will keep out one just to have someone else. Also, what's with everyone taking Sakurai's quote about third party characters and the number of them too seriously? Let's be honest, it's an old quote which may not be viable.
That said, I fully support Tails in Brawl, though I don't expect it. But go Tails, anyway.

I would hate SEGA if that was true. Why would they decide Knuckles to be playable instead of Tails? It's defenetly false anyway, at least I hope it is.
Anyway, Tails has much more priorty as a character, and I hate all the comments and arguments that are against him.
1. "He can't fight": He can fight. Played Sonic Battle or the fighters? He would also have a unique moveset. To be honest, Knuckles's moveset would be really predictable and not very unique, he wouldn't be very original, since we already have PCs who are very similar to him in terms of moveset. Tails, IMO would be much more original. That said, Moveset hardly plays a factor as to wether somebodys playable or not, priorty is.
2. "Knuckles and Shadow have more priorty than he does": No they don't, I don't understand why people think they do. Tails has more priorty because of his role as a character, Sonic's sidekick or Sonic's "Luigi". Knuckles has high priorty too, but not as much.
3. "Tails can't do anything without Sonic": Played the adventure games? Since on Sonic Adventure he saved Station Square. He was also a rather important character in Adventure 2, since he saved Sonic and whatnot.
4. "He doesn't have his own game": This just goes to show that most of the Knuckles/Shadow fanboys have not played the Megadrive/Genesis or older games. As Tails was much more of a character than Knuckles. Tails had two games of his own, Tails Adventure and Tails SkyPatrol for the Gamegear.
5. "Tails isn't very popular": Tails is very popular in Japan, and also here in Europe. Also rather popular in America, but would be moreso if it wasn't for 4Kids. He is certainly underated on these Forums.
6. "Tails sucks": Your opinion sucks, and it won't effect anything.
With all of this in mind, Tails would, and should be a PC before any other character. Others may have their own opinion and this may all be debatable. But it's true IMO.
I don't expect him to be a playable character, just that he should be a PC before any other.
