prod dodge because everyone else is V/LA

gonna do one more re-read at some point soon and then lay the hammer down

RR, I'd like to see you make a case against Glyph. I hear that you think he's scum, but I would like you to flesh it out for me, and talk about how your read on him developed
D1, I was very content with him. Heck I thought he was strongly town at that time. I thought he made a very convincing case that I agreed with on Soup. Soup went at Vinyl D1 for being bad and not understanding, though at this point I'm having trouble putting Vinyl higher than Rajam atm.

D2 is where things change, he sits on Zen asking right away for a claim and doesn't want to move from it until he can force a claim on him that goes nowhere.I wanted Zen gone for how he handled Vinyl, I did not like the push and shove situation he tried to force down on him. Glyph comes out and asks for his claim out of nowhere and tries to force it down to lynching him if he doesn't claim. Not explaining the ends nor the means on either nor why it was lynch worthy.

Then he makes a jump on me over my "slip". There it just frustrates me, he's done that kind of mistake before, I can't remember what game exactly. But I recall him making slips like that when he was town and he tunnels it like it's a damning note. Town makes typos and mistakes that can be seen as mistakes, my fault for posting that late at night or while on alcohol etc.

It's really weird for Glyph to make a push like that knowing what he has done before as town. Even ignoring meta, that is all he has looked at outside of a possible connection to Vinyl.

Then he moves to Inferno over myself or Zen, out of the blue, no Ryme or reason from what I saw, nor why that was more viable at the time over anyone else. That makes it worse for him to push it at that time. I didn't like how Inferno was handling Vinyl at all, it was the same as Soup...and in hindsight I'm starting to see that it;s really not a scum tell for players to push on players for being "weaker" in a sense.

That's where my read went and it's stayed their for this day, the question I come down to is who is his partner.

I'm certain Glyph is scum off D2 alone, heck here on D3, in contrast with his D1, he's leading a faulty reason for Vinyl to be scum, off sole connections without looking at my intent.

I did have a reason to not want Vinyl dead, his plays looks strikingly similar to how I played when I first started out in mafia.

The issue here is when I compare him to Rajam, Rajam is inactive, I put him as scum off PoE, but...his D3 with reasons, it's solid and shows more thought that games I saw him as scum, Fire and Lightning mafia.

He's got more a legit thought process and he's not relying on his activity to coast. His activity is always a problem, but when he posts and brings content to the table in each post and progresses the game, it's a good sign. I'd lean on Vinyl over Rajam at this point...but even then, when I reread the game, it's not simple. If I ha to right now I'd lynch Vinyl over Rajam.

Glyph is there no matter which of the two it is, and that is where I want to go today.

No, I don't. I think he would have done EXACTLY what he did with a panic edit because if anyone DID stumble onto it, he would be left totally open.

Furthermore, townRR would not have even noticed the mistake, which I have already gone into.

:phone:
I have made typo mistakes like this in the past.

In Super Mario RPG mafia, I mislabeled town at one point and got called on it.

I mislabeled my claim in another game, I think it was Degray man, where I called myself doc when I claimed cop earlier.

**** happens.

:hpfox:

Ryu, do you think someone who is a top candidate to get lynched toDay (and if town, his lynch would most likely mean "game over") could just "forget" the game?
No, I really don't think you can "forgot" a game of mafia, even more so when you post a lot on the forums as is like myself and Vinyl have.

Alright, so this thing on RR's "slip" was not apparently a scum tell for me. Or am I missing something?

Also, kary you claim now.

Kary is not claiming now.

And I am so so so tired of sitting waiting for Vinyl to respond to stuff and then not even responding to half of what he's supposed to when he does.

I am ready to lynch Vinyl. Some of you seem less sold on RR as I am, but the Vinyl scum read is pretty damn universal.

And RR naturally would lynch Vinyl over himself. Thought this might happen.

Concerned that this might have been the plan all along, so I need to re-read.

I'm also planning on clearing Rajam before we end the Day.

Glyph, you shouldn't vote Vinyl, as it'll leave you getting lynched by RR and Rajam tomorrow.

I'm not that stubborn. Ryu is null, not town. If I'm alive toMorrow and it comes between Ryu and Glyph I'll take the decision by checking both of them deeply, and if I lean towards player A I'll also make sure to have enough reasons to discard player B (why would B be town). I've been checking Ryu's "slip" several times because at first it didn't look like anything "bad", but then checking Zen's case I'm more doubtful.

Since Vinyl never answered my questions, this is my take on Ryu's slip:

- I'm not sold on Glyph's point that town-Ryu wouldn't even check his post to make the edit. I'm basing this on how I play myself, because I always check my posts before and after sending them, regardless of alignment, and I put edits if I see something that maybe wasn't too clear. For me this is null.

- Then I have my point that why would scum-Ryu make the edit in first place; I think scum would just leave the slip hidden, praying for no one to see it, and prepare an excuse in case someone notices. This also makes me lean more towards null than scum.

- Third point is the time gap between the first post with the "slip" and the edition post. The time gap is ~ 3 minutes. The edit post probably took Ryu something along 20 seconds and 1 minute to write and send, and Ryu noticing and realizing about the "slip" probably took him something between 10 seconds and 40 seconds, because it was in the first paragraph. Sorry if I'm reaching with the numbers, but my point here is that Ryu probably had something around 1 minute and 2 minutes to take a decision regarding making or not making the edition post. The faster the edition (aka the less the time gap), the more "towny" the reason for making the edit, because it would mean Ryu just saw it and edited it without much hesitation. Scum in the other hand would take more time, deciding whether to leave the slip hidden, or to make the edit; it would take more time for scum due to hesitation. I agree with Glyph here that this time gap (1 ~ 2 minutes) is "borderline" and could lead to either alignment. So, this is also null for me.

The reason why I asked about this earlier is because I already took a "null" stance because there isn't much indication of any alignment imo (for any reason presented, a counter-reason, reasonable enough, could be offered), so I wanted to know what would Glyph and Vinyl lean to, and under what reasoning.

As of right now, I'm going to vote Vinyl at midnight or maybe sooner. Rajam I trust will make the right decision if he looks into RR (especially with the connections to Vinyl after this flip).

Kary was a lovable, humble man. No one thought he was suspicious because, they knew they could trust that guy. I know I would. I'd let him take care of my babies without even looking because I knew, he would bring them back to me in one piece.

Kary was killed over night for being such a nice guy!

He was:

Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Double Voter.[/COLLAPSE]

Rajam:

[COLLAPSE="flip"]

Nachos Bell Grande, Vanilla Townie[/COLLAPSE]

[COLLAPSE="Role PM"]. This is what you really are. You are so young. And so Stupid. You really get on my nerves sometimes. I don’t understand why Volcano Taco let’s you hang out with him. Maybe he likes to be an example to you. To show you what you should become. Yeah. Hopefully Volcano Taco [Red Ruy] can show you the way to maturity, in this QT. Cofee Break Room

You are a Mafia Goon. You have a factional kill. You also have a voice and a vote. You win when you have the majority over the townies in the Restaurant, and nothing can stop this.

You can send in your kill by this formula: [Kill: Player] You must send in who is committing the action.

You are Volcano Taco. *Sizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzle*
You are a seasoned veteran in the taco force. You are getting tired of the law, and are stretching beyond the lines of the good side. Why? You like breaking the rules, yet having the authority to get away with it. Your partner in crime, Cinnamon Twists [DTJ GlyphMoney] While a delinquent, looks up to you. He will be around in this QT: Cofee Break Room

You are a Mafia Role Cop. Once per night, you can investigate a player and receive the name of their role. You also have a factional kill. You win when you have the majority over the townies in the Restaurant, and nothing can stop this.

You can send in your kill by this formula: [Kill: Player] You must send in who is committing the action.

You are Crunch Wrap Supreme. Wise and ever knowing you are. You are so one with yourself. Tell me. What is the Secret of Life? *You whisper* Really? You mean… the secret… is… Bacon?!?!?!?! I didn’t see that coming. I thought you were going to say Taco Bell. Man. That’s overwhelming. *You walk away, and sit in the corner meditating, drinking tea* You seem to be the introverted type, but it has given you so much good. You are at peace. Let’s hope you don’t get disturbed.

You are a Vanilla Townie. You have no special abilities. You only have your voice and vote. You win if all threats to the Restaurant are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.[/COLLAPSE]

You are Quesidilla. Mmmmmm. How good you look. *Gets Slapped* Delicious you are. Sadly, this doesn’t make you good enough to be a Power Role. But you taste soooo good. Scrumptious. Just look at yourself. Can’t you see? You don’t even need any Powers. You will do the Restaurant some Service just by looking so… delectable. But you know this. But don’t look at yourself in the mirror. You might fall in love with yourself. Instead, let others do the falling for you. Are you ignoring me? >_>

But if you get past THAT point, things CAN and WILL get messy. Yet tasty too, yum… ;) But wait, how does that work? 0_o

You are Cheesy Gordita Crunch. What else can I say? You are durable, yet have a soft exterior. You are normal as can be, yet with an extra level on top. Sort of like experience. Even though you might be new. But I’m not going to check the date that you came in. Because I trust you. Wow… I feel like… I can talk to you about all my troubles… You are really a great and lovable guy. I would marry you. No wonder everyone in the Restaurant looks up to you. Love ~ Me.

You are a Double Voter. You have double the voting power of a regular taco. Double voting is optional, so you may vote normally as a regular old taco, but once you have an out of taco experience and learn that it’s time to show your outer shell, you may format the double vote as Doublevote: PlayerName. This will be shown on the vote count accurately. You can unvote by unvoting twice, like so: Unvote Unvote or you can unvote one vote by using this format: Unvote. You cannot vote two separate players at one time, you must be voting the same person when doublevoting. Glyph I love you, no homo.

Zen you were actually very solid readwise, except you went onto inferno D2 ;_;

Rajam again shows people need to stop throwing him aside on activity when his content and reads are super good.

MVP should be Glyph or no MVP, glyph helped me a butt load with being scum.

Also let me tell you guys a story about how I, in a moment that is the essence of 'overthinking the situation' decided my claim was too out of trend with the rest of the taco flips, and my safe claims were too close to Rajam's flavor.

So I thought to myself 'wait, RR didn't use his flavor! That's a taco!' and claimed that.

But then if I had pushed RR and he flipped, I would have been super boned and all my bussing of him would have been for NOTHING

I doubt anyone would've pushed anything from flavor though (it's not like you can say "omg that taco must be scum!", so there's no reason to be paying attention or to get touchy about tacos names... at least imo), and also, Zen flipped a pizza so the less reasons for pushing a lynch based on flavor

Ryker, Strong player with no connections he made, fine kill.

Kary, when we tried twice, he was the strongest town player read wise.

Town:

Kary: I think if you and Zen paired up you could have destroyed scum. I am going off what is in the top of your head, so feel free to explain yourself as neccessary. I suggest to you to try to compromise with others, when you can't get your way. Don't go WHAT? WE ARE DONE HERE, NO! *CLOSES THE DOOR TO FRUITS OF OUR LABOR* I will say that your and Zen's playstyles do conflict. Anyways, look at my play in Sword's Newbie. I was tunneling SO DAMN HARD on Clover, and he was never scum. What helped me find the scums? Compromising and giving you that space you'd need to work your magic, and hey, you had plenty of direction that helped me find the scums that wouldn't have happened if I stuck to being stubborn and telling you to shut it, and that I would dgaf about unvoting my suspect . Am I saying you are at fault here but not Zen? No, I have something to say to him as well. But, you have to at least remember one thing bro: That friction you had with Zen (hee hee ;o) gives scum lee space to do their evil deeds. Well, I mean it is a distraction. Did it detract from anything? No, but if you both somehow came to an understanding, you both could have built a bridge to scumdeathisland. I will use Epic Rap Battles as an example. You and I had a tiff there, and I feel that may have been why Gorg/JD got to live for so long. This is the only thing I think you'll need to look over for improvement. You have to remember that everyone has something to contribute, and even you do as I have shown in the Swords Newbie example.

Zen: Ok Zen. You talked about Empathy, but I also think you have to consider that as well. You forget that you keep telling Kary to vote or telling him that he is dragging out the day, but you can't just say HEY IM ZEN VOTE THIS GUY HES SCUM GO GO GO and expect some people to just K RIDING BRO. Some have a due process and you have to respect that. You failed in how you approached Kary, obviously since it didn't play out in a fruitful and lovingly BROLICIOUS ALLIANCE OF SEXY MANLY MEN. You don't believe in claims, and you want the day to end quicker than usual, but Kary likes to hear opinions from others, and uses his VOICE instead of his VOTE to pressure people, which is just fine. You just have to not touch his buttons, and you have done so ALOT. You also just have to understand the person and think of how you should approach them, and then do so. So learn how not to touch some people's buttons, and don't expect everyone to go your way no matter how obv town you make yourself. Basically, I feel you should have tried to compromise to Kary as he should have to you. 50/50. "But Ran, RR was scuM!" I Dgaf Zen. D: < Do what I say. Nyah.

Soup: Bro, I think you got caught up in one little thing and it cost you. I usually try to ignore Vinyl until later, so that way I am spending time on finding REAL possible scum, and then eliminating him later on if he is still a suspect. (Meaning alive lol) I think this is one of those instances where it's "Hey, I explained this to you soup, you should be ok with it" Soup - "NO, let's do this over again, shall we?" It's like, wait this isn't something we should be doing again because I think I explained myself well (Well in my case). I mean, consider Ryker mafia. I made this case on you, and you wanted me to take it back, and I kept saying no, but you kept insisting. I'm like bro, just die. (lol) But it's possible that if the person can't explain their actions in a town mindset, that they are prolly scum. It's just that I feel your insistance was more of an emotional thing and that's why you stuck to it, and I think that's what got you lynched. Sorry it's hard to explain from the top of my head. I think maybe you were just being stubborn. :p And this is coming from me, and I know I'm stubborn haha.

Vinyl.: Ok man. I want you to try to improve your communication skills. This is your #1 thing to improve on to get better at mafia. Your language skills and fluency also relate to #1. Your #2 thing to improve on, your Mafia game theory. Don't try to improve on this until you are done with #1. I feel if you try to before doing so it may confuse you. You are getting lynched regardless of alignment, and it's because you say weird things that seem like scum misteps, but are you just being confused. Get more knowledge bro, and stop being a mislynch. Once you stop being a mislynch, town's will do better because they will have one more mislynch to waste. (which they will, town's so pro :troll:) Do you understand what I'm saying here? You can IM me if you want to talk some more.

Bad Wolf: Sorry for having you replace to being night killed, haha! Post your thoughts now!

Bardull: Good stuff inning. Uh, I can't remember much but that you had made yourself a loud voice along Zen. Good stuff.

Rajam: Thanks for replacing in man! You did well in having RR and Glyph as possible scum, but at one time you prolly had RR null or something. Anyway's good stuff!

Ryker: I'm sure you might know this, but you were killed at night just so that you wouldn't have the space to catch up and contribute to the scum's death. I would say "Do more stuff before N1!" But I know this is reality. (And I know you were busy, and that you most likely know this) I guess this is a bigger problem in smalls than larges, I think.

Inferno: Hmm, I remember you being really into this game. Good stuff, but seeing that you were wrong shows that you still have a ways to go. One thing I remember you telling me after you were dead, was that you liked to look for holes in people's plays. Ok, you are in a town this small. Everyone but two people have holes in their play. What if the scum played so well they didn't have wholes in their play? How will you find the scums then. :troll: That's all I can think of.

Scum:

Red Ryu: I remember you voting Zen for some reason, I think that vote was bad. Also your argument wasn't very good, but no one noticed. Otherwise you did fine. :D

Glyph: Good play yo. Like I told you, your play and how into the game YOU were was interesting for me to see instead of my "I just want town to win .-." pov. Good stuff, it was very entertaining to see. Also lol at your Taco claim. :p
