Switching Mains?

How many of you switched your mains while going from vBrawl to Brawl+?

And why?

I think alot of people who actually play both games switched their mains so they won't get used to the brawl+ style of said char when they are in vbrawl tournaments.

That being said i actually kept my main(peach) but i picked up 2 chars i never played with in vbrawl. Zard and zss(i played zss a little in vbrawl but wasn't good with her. I pwn with her in brawl+)

I main DK and Snake in vBrawl, but might use Fox in Brawl+.

I stayed with everyone. Everyone I used in vBrawl I use in brawl+ with the addition of Ganon. So...Fox, wolf, snake, wario, falcon, ganon in +. I wanna learn Falco as well but I kinda don't have a wii lol..

I use everyone in both games (with the exception of peach and sonic) but I main falcon in b+ because he's sooo fun, but terrible in vbrawl.

Used to main Kirby and have Mario as secondary on vBrawl.

In Brawl+ I'm using PT (yeah, all 3 pkmn because they rock xD) and Mario (I really liked the transition from vBrawl to Brawl+ of him), butstill looking for another one to use as CP when necessary =P

In vBrawl, I was straight ROB. I experimented with a few secondaries (Wario, Lucario, ZSS, Snake) but no other character clicked with me like ROB did. In the last month or so before I quit vBrawl, I didn't touch anyone other than ROB even in friendlies. Everyone else just bored me.

When I moved on to Brawl+ a few months ago, I decided I was gonna be a Squirtle main, but I still had to break out ROB pretty often to do well in tourney. No matter how much effort I put into my Squirtle, I still do better with ROB. I've come to accept the fact that I am a ROB main to the core, but I do use Squirtle and Sheik for certain matchups, and I play over a dozen characters regularly in friendlies, because soooo many characters are fun to use in Brawl+.

For the most part I'm using the same characters I used in vBrawl.
Competitively in vBrawl I only play G&W, though in friendlies I also go Wario.

B+, I use both G&W and Wario competitively, and I've been trying to pick up Luigi.
In the long run I'm probably going to drop Luigi because he doesn't give me any coverage that Wario and G&W don't already provide and I still have a few blank spots where I'm screwed with all of them (stupid Marth >_>).

For fun I picked up Zard, MK, and Samus. One of those will probably become my "deal with Marth" character. And most likely being MK of course...

I started playing ZSS and Captain Falcon tho.

Still use Ness as a main and Jiggs as a secondary, but I am also picking up Charizard and I am loving him. If I could use only Charizard in Brawl, I would've made him a secondary in that game.

Also I am starting to learn Captain Falcon in all four Smash games, he is fun as hell and I enjoy playing and learning him.

Hmm lets see. I main Marth and secondary Jiggs in Melee, main Jiggs and secondary Marth in Brawl, main Jiggs and secondary Marth in Brawl+.

That'd be a no.

It didn't really affect my mains, but it did affect the other characters I'd play.

In vBrawl I mained Mario and Sonic, in that order, and dabbled in Snake, Samus, Captain Falcon and Link on the side.

Brawl+ comes around and by this point, I still main the same two but I trust my Sonic more than my Mario now. I play Captain Falcon and Samus a lot more often now, and I'm starting to pick Link up again. Brawl+ just made the whole roster too fun to play. I'm thinking of switching Captain Falcon into my mains, haha.

Yoshi with Ganondorf as a secondary, and pit as the former main.
Now it's still yoshi and Ganondorf, and I can still use pit because of him being a former main >.>
I'm having more difficulty grasping other characters especially with many of their changes, changing what little ability I had to play them. Though I am better with fox.

Luigi, Diddy, and Peach in vBrawl

Falcon, Fox, Ganon, Shiek, Toon Link, and Squirtle in B+. It'll most likely narrow to Falcon, Ganon, and Squirtle.

Falcon and Fox are fast. Ganon hits "like a bus full of fat people" and is decently fast. Shiek has simple, effective combos. Toon Link has a B-Air sudo WoP and a grab that leads into it. Squirtle... Well, my mindgames with him will **** with you.

B+: Sonic, Ness, Dedede, & Falco.

I dabble in a lot of others, but those are the only ones I'd trust in a tourney.

I'm on the verge of quitting vBrawl outright in favor of B+ specifically so that I don't get vBrawl ZSS confused with ZSS+.

Aside from that, I also play DDD and a little Fox, whereas in vBrawl I played DK and Wario as seconds.

You're automatically cool people now in my book. In all honesty, I thought I'd be the only PT+ main out there; no one really likes him.

Not really. My original mains were, as in my sig, Marth, MK, and Luigi. In the switch to B+, I dropped MK because of tournament hype and now I'm working on Sheik instead.
