If this is him expecting a Smash reveal, he needs rethink some things, cause Smash reveals are normally done to appeal to all major regions, not just Americans, and its pretty obvious only Americans will really be paying attention, cause of the time its on at, most Europeans will be asleep, Japanese will most likely be working, and the Australians don't really care.

Melee getting patches would be weird at this day and age, and it could even drive people away back to the GC version. It's a big risk that's not really worth taking. (which is why HD re released fighters rarely ever get balance patches at all unless there's a problem)

I don't think Melee HD will receive balance patches.

The one thing I can expect is an "SD Remix" type of thing that buffs the low to mediocre characters in the game; upper echelon is either unchanged or get a few tweaks.

edit: not necessarily in a balance patch but in vanilla Melee HD

considering 2013, even with the tweet that;s not enough to hype me.

They want SSB4 to sell, not a re-release of a decade old game. It's a pipe dream no matter where you try and place it.

However, it's possible Melee HD will be an NX launch title, but either way we will not be getting Melee HD for a year or more if it even happens.

Hey they have a reason,since all that Jason and Predator stuff,but Mortal Kombat as a whole is losing his way into making new characters, all the new ones that came on the main game are tropes( A.K.A. Venom Queen, Clint Eastwood, Dwarf guy on a giant shoulders),it looks that is almost no future left for Mortal Kombat without pop horror figures.

They got Playboy on the marketing of Splatoon and Bayonetta 2 ,argument invalid.
Also minors with bikinis =/= sexualized stuff.

Well... here's the thing. If there were a hypothetical Melee HD, my best guess is that they would outsource it to another company good with ports similar to what they did with Twilight Princess HD. All they really would need use the Gamecube Conversion Software Nintendo developed for the Wii U to port Melee to that console and maybe up the textures just a little.

Don't be discouraged! This other girl could have been seeing someone, or not really interested, but that shouldn't discourage you. You should try with the one girl you originally intended, and if she says no, it's their loss! You shouldn't let rejection stop you from trying again!
