One issue I'm seeing with all these CSS' is that we're making them how WE think they should look.

Is anyone taking into account how the current 3DS/WiiU CSS looks? We should be making our predictions based off of those I feel.

I especially love the obvious ones like Megalovania & Bonetrousle
But Bergentruckung is one of my favourites.
And Hopes and Dreams became the Smiles and Tears song of this year for me.
The one I will listen too for a long time to come.
And here Undertale Fan have Papyrus' Mix Tape.

Megalovania is the best imo. Hopes and Dreams is really good too peaceful as all heck. Love ASGORD and Battle Against a True Hero. Im still listening to some of the music, but its really good so far.

Well they already got the current Indie King (Shovel Knight) to get them to the $900,000 point so the Queen certainly couldn't hurt their case. Of the other big indies (as weird as that thought is), Quote is Japanese, Steve sold his soul to Bill Gates and Team Meat complains about Nintendo systems being too hard to develop for with one face and tries to get Meat Boy in smash with the other.

i feel like meat boy and isaac are definitely iconic enough to appear in "indie crossovers", there's just... a pretty big aversion to them because they're both innately controversial characters
anyway i think it'd be neat if they got red or the kid from supergiant's games

I just bought the soundtrack last night and I've been listening to it basically all day today and it's been great. It's honestly unreal how fantastic the whole thing is. Such a perfect blend of warm and comforting, emotional, epic, and atmospheric.

I am genuinely worried about X. I do not have the same time I had for the first Xenoblade to get engrossed in the world. So when I play will be a whole lot less and I plan to go all out and explore everything.

Which means I have more and more opportunities for someone to post spoilers. . .I've already smacked into a few without even leaving here. . .

This completely doesn't matter with anything. The world of Bravely Second is the world of Bravely Second. A Native "American" in their world has nothing to with one in the real world.

A fantasy world can have characters be anything they want.

Also, some people need to get over all the things that happened in the past. As they all happened, in the past. Constantly reminding everyone what happened in the past breeds hatred.

You're definitely right that the world of Bravely Second is a lot different than the real world and characters in a JRPG are obviously a lot different than real people. Honestly, I'm not really big on assuming bad intent for stuff like this either. I think it's probably just a result of the original developers not having the same cultural context, sort of like how some people outside Japan might not totally understand all of the cultural things that people who live in Japan or have Japanese heritage would.

I'm sort of with you when it comes to the past. I prefer to leave the past in the past for a lot of stuff and it can be frustrating when people open up old wounds instead of move forward. I guess the issue I have is when vestiges of problems that started a long time ago are still around and people choose to sweep them under the rug or ignore them rather than try to do the often difficult work of wiping them out completely or making sure they don't pop up again in the future. I certainly don't think you're doing that; I just wanted to try to explain what I was thinking when I made that post.

Wat? Thats a lot of fancy words. Believing that every one acts like one thing is not a games fault. It is the person doing the believing fault for choosing to be ignorant. It is absolutely no reason for a fantasy idea to be killed off.

Sorry about that. I wasn't really sure what words to use because I'm not an expert on this stuff, so I just looked up what seemed like the right term for it. I guess my thinking was that Native American groups are quite diverse and having a character/job in a game that's sort of a composite of stereotypical Native American "tropes" isn't really a good idea.

But yeah, I don't think we should totally get rid of aboriginal/indigenous characters in games either. I'd just like the people who make them to be sensitive to some of the history around this stuff and portray them well.

If we're getting really greedy, I'd love to see a transitioning stage that visits all the continents... but slowly. Maybe it would be a small FD stage on the back of a Skell, heh. It could land near or hover near land and expand the playable area. I just want to spend time in each location and take each one in while I get wrecked by whatever opponent I'm not paying attention to~

Making one minor adjustment and moving Duck Hunt up into Link's slot, putting all of Zelda together, and putting Duck Hunt up with the other single "retro" series alongside G&W and Mac.

This would be both A. My ideal final DLC roster and B. The best arrangement for the CSS.

It'll never happen but damn if it doesn't look beautiful.

I'm hoping people here will be good enough to avoid spoiling big stuff. Anything story related is a big no. I can see stuff like areas and music accidentally being revealed to you early if you're really after avoiding everything.

I was all about avoiding news at first but as the date has approached I've mostly checked out GameXplain to see what their impressions are and learn about game mechanics. I'm even more excited to play the game now.
