When you make a game that is full of public domain characters from Western stories and have an American president as your leader, one can expect it to do better in the U.S. than Japan.

Still confused as to why they made the Scarecrow look like Pumpkin Head (another character from Oz books).

Not to mention said American president fighting aliens in the greatest if not cheesiest way possible.
This game was tailored to the hearts of Americans is all I'm saying.

And now it has more playable characters than Zelda and Metroid in Smash, and just as many as Pokemon.

There's plenty to be used from Zelda. I'm pretty baffled that we haven't been getting newcomers for it.

As for Metroid, we all know how Sakurai feels about Ridley. The best I can expect is for Federation Force to be shoved down our throats.

Can't really blame them when Uncharted and TLoU are now providing sales exceeding nearly all of their past efforts.

There's plenty to be used from Zelda. I'm pretty baffled that we haven't been getting newcomers for it.

Most Zelda characters are either one-shot villains (Majora, Ghirahim, Zant, etc), one-shot sidekicks (Midna, Fi, etc), side characters (Darunia, Ruto, etc), or extremely unpopular in some regions (Tingle for America and Groose for Japan).

Maybe it's because the Triforce Wielders were the only import characters to be used. Sure there's Impa, but her inconsistent appearances is the thing that keeps her down. Or people would pin her as Sheik clone if her SS design is used.

I like Street Fighter (I also like Pokken), but y'know... that's kinda what you get Capcom.

Next time finish your game before you release it ;P

Hopefully this also means a sequel to Pokken can get greenlit faster if sales are this... decent.

Honestly, Pokken was just as rushed as SFV.

Even more impressive that it had a decent single-player (for a fighting game), an entirely new cast of characters of the same initial number, and an online that wasn't broken upon launch then.

Skull Kid is better than both Groose and Tingle (though he's bae) combined. There's no other Zelda character that compares to this tortured soul with little friends and his control over Majora's Mask.

Well it only mentions retail sales on PS4.

SFV probably still outsells it when you factor in digital and PC.

And to be honest, I know a lot of people will cry foul on SFV for lacking content and what not and say this was deserved, but is Pokkén really any better? I've only played it once so far since I bought it and haven't felt motivated to go back to it since the game has nothing to offer really. I mean the gameplay is solid but there's nothing to do since the content is so lacking. Like in a lot of recent Wii U games. And SFV is a similar situation, but at least that's GETTING updates.

Well, the main story is really light, for starters.

You do the same thing over and over again.

And then while the battlefields are all very diverse-looking, they aren't really entertaining gameplay-wise.

And overall the game was really only entertaining for an hour. To me, at least.

• Same low amount of characters with no DLC at this point (SFV had a character out by this point.)
• Terrible Plot
• Excruciatingly lazy and awful single player. I beat the Ferrum league completely and it stopped being fun pretty quickly.
• Some of the worst voice acting I have ever heard
• Their rage quitting punishment might as well not exist.
• What the **** do I do with all this money? It's practically worthless. They're no point to it.

Still I love both Street Fighter V and Pokken Tournament because they the big thing right. They're still very fun to play, especially with other people. They have phenomenal gameplay.

I play both whenever I can, because they're fun. Very fun. Extremely fun.

Just not by yourself.

Arcade mode would have been ten times better. As someone who plays a lot of fighting games, Pokken's single player was a grueling affair.
