My favorite game of all time.

I hope you like quirky characters, weird enemies, crazy bosses, Godlike music, and some of the most awkward controls of all time.


. . .But if you can get past that it's amazing

The first chapter is more of a tutorial and a setup for the plot, but once you make it past that. . .

Let's just say that's when it starts becoming obvious the writers had fun with this. :awesome:

The Wii U is going to be out soon and there isn't much going on with the 3DS unless Federation Force has gotten off the hate list. And let's be honest anything else would simply be viewed as filler for the main event.


Look, it happens. Not every E3 is going to be some mind blowing event that will change your life forever (and what can be considered "hype" is subjective at best). Sometimes you're not going to have everything and then some.

Your right about Nintendo not wanting to show off games people already know about like last year but it's still underwhelming that they choose to only show off one game at the event other than the closed doors Presentation they have for their business partners. Can't they at least show off games they have in store for 2017? (3DS titles that have yet to to revealed) or even the rest of their lineup this year (think about the NX leaked lineup). It's deflating that they can't even show some of their NX games at the event. You don't have to show them all but you could have had some be revealed to increase hype leading up to the grand reveal of the NX towards the end of the year.

At the very least they could give us a Direct in late-May or early-June that would be the normal Digital Event.

I just did. For the most part I like the guy's content, but in his latest video he made a 3 minute opening where he talks about his political beliefs and how they effect what he was going to do in the video. So, I didn't bother watching the video.

Also, read some stuff about him in the comment section

one thing I hate when playing shooters is when they flip the controls on the reticle...
up is down...


but seriously, it's just arbitrary difficulty, especially since I can adjust the difficulty of the chapters as I go...doesn't matter if it's too easy otherwise, because it's awkward as it is just using the touchscreen to aim...

But this song though...
I mean yeah it's already in Smash, but still...


Going through the menus though, you can definitely tell it was Sakurai who made this game as I thought I was playing Smash for a second...

The controls are flipped on the reticle? I don't even remember that.

I can't even recall if I had somehow set it differently after having problems or if I just had it written to muscle memory. (*EDIT* Must have set it to something)

The touch screen I vaguely remember being really awkward for the first few chapters, but I think getting used to it did something to me because now aiming a reticle any other way feels a bit unnatural while the touch controls feel extra precise.

Hopefully it starts to feel a bit more natural as you go along.

If you don't mind walking with ABXY you can set the circle pad to aim. Worked well enough for the month I was without my stylus... Also pretty sure you can flip the vertical aiming. If not, there's some autoaiming for vertical and even an autofire function if you dig into the menus, though that's only for single player. Probably want to stay off of multi for a while anyway, unless you want to try and play with sucky weapons while the guy on the other end is practically playing a Warriors game.

Aetheri Aetheri someone delivered some helpful advice for you.

And yeaaah, this probably means I did tweak something. I still like the touch controls, but you might wanna mess with the reticle if you can.

Actually, I think I kind of remember doing that now. You should probably head to the options after you come back here again.

Yeah the controls are flipped for the reticle on the air sequences...on land it's more straight forward...

I'm probably going to try messing around with the controls to make it more manageable, it's a pretty big pet peeve of mine when games have this...it just makes no sense to aim down when I want to shoot up and I feel like I end up doing better just by moving around randomly and shooting randomly...

I definitely prefer the land seqments as it's more than just dodge and shoot, especially since I can kinda poke around and do some exploring here and there (I'll need to suck it up for some higher difficulties since I'm encountering a few locked gates which require higher intensities to open)

Good luck. Sorry I didn't remember doing that sooner.

I do think the game shot up in enjoyability once I tweaked it a bit. Once you've set it to where you aren't wrestling with the controls and have had a bit of time to get used to it, the game is much more refreshing.

How far in are you, anyway? I know you're past Chapter 1, but how much farther have you made it?

Anybody know how to promote message boards? I ask for tips because mine getting off the ground is very important to me.

This time last year I was pretty much thrown off a forum with more users by a bunch of people I thought were friends. A forum I pretty much created none the less.

So any tips? Suggestions? Anyone wanna take the plunge and sign up?

So, how's your take on what's happened in the game so far? I hear some people get annoyed at the writing, but I hope that's not the case for you as the writing is half the fun for those of us who enjoy the game. Of course, the parts everyone got REALLY addicted to after release are yet to come. . .

It's mostly about entertainment. Movies,TV, music, gaming (I'd love more gamers, there's about 4 active members and only two of us really play video games) celebrities, etc, but also has sections for writing and art forms of all kinds as well.

So really it's mostly about talking entertainment and creating forms of it online as well?

This is the thing I want about gamers. We kinda gave up because we were in a funk from what happened at the older board and losing friends.

And then there's just not a lot of gamers in the few active members now. I do know that guy personally from tumblr and I'm sure he's quite thrilled about Bayonetta being in Smash now.

Yeah, I noticed it was still the original board name before we settled. Fixed it though. So people can click that. It's probably part of the problem of sign ups to be honest.

Well, I've just learned today the word composed of the 14th, 9th, 6th, 6th and 1st letters of the Latin alphabet in that order is a rather strong and offensive term in English.

I now understand more why I get a warning the last time I posted a pic quoting that word.

I'm heavily contemplating getting the Overwatch Collector's Edition, but it's about 130 dollars... I dunno, seems like a lot better price than the PvZGW2 Z7 Mech individual statue I paid 100 dollars for. I'll consider it as soon as I manage to rack up enough birthday money from relatives...

also because of disney infinity dying capcom could feesibly make marvel vs capcom 4(because of how disney is going forward with videogames in that they wont be doing them in house so people can buy the rights to characters)
