If anything this is leagues better of a topic, seeing as it's a mostly objective quality issue rather than three dozen people going "But I didn't get what I wanted!" in the most gratingly subjective and spiteful way possible.

I see. MLG these days is more Sonic's home thanks to Sanic and some of the good Sonic games.

While good old Mario sticks with YouTube Poop since they are what defined it (along with the CDi Zelda series). At least we have good old Robotnik and his pingas to give us a good laugh.

I've already established that there's a demand for a new show, and there a fanbase to mine off of. However, and as is most of the time when it comes to reboots, it prides itself off of the idea that the brand name itself sells the product, rather than the quality itself.

Have problems in animation? Eh, no one's gonna care.
Piss poor plots? Eh, people just want to see the girls fight.
Throwing in memes? Well that's probably more for the kiddos...

But my point is the reboot is a glorified cash grab. And when you have the mentality that just having characters people like do things kinda like they did in the original, why bother with making it good?
In fact I'd probably argue that the errors are the least worst thing about the show. At least they're amusing.

Oh there are. Hell with enough effort people can make shows far superior than their original product.
As much as I really don't care for the show nor franchise myself, I'd say MLP:FiM is a good example of that: As they were able to build a feasible show out of basically forgettable plastic toys that little girls play with when Barbie isn't around. Which is astounding as far as I care.

Though for every decent reboot, there's always a crappy one in the sidelines.

Granted they're not TV, but Batman Begins, Casino Royale, Mad Max Fury Road, and Rise of the Planet of the Apes were all good reboots
