It wasn't based off him being one of the first, it was based off him being the next character. Between the estimate of SK being supposedly "revealed within the next month or two" and that not happening.

The timeframe was never supposed to be definite, and was clarified to have been an estimate. Regardless, it's dead in my book.

I'm pretty sure he said that specifically because he, like me, are huge fans of the idea of SK in Smash.

TBH you seem more obsessed with it than any SK fan I've seen.

this is the problem because I knwo it is releasing very early December but we are in the freaking middle of November!

the 2 person are verified lper, so probably.

But here';s the problem, 2 different person got the game weeks before the release date and these videos were up for more than 15 hours......

Either they had the right or nintendo is sleeping.....

In my opinion, I don't feel like that A move sets exactly matter when it comes to uniqueness, and it's mostly based off on mechanics. Like Olimar who has his Pikmin mechanic, Rosalina's tag-team, Mac's meter etc. Something that actually makes them play differently from the rest of the cast.
Cloud has Limit breaks, so I can see him being unique.

I would love crash, if we got another sony era rep that wasn't snake, can it be Crash? He dominated everyone for awhile and would be a great addition to the 3rd part rivalries . Also looking around the internet it's kind of sad, with Cloud coming, people are now thinking Microsoft and Sony 1st party characters are now viable for Smash

Also something I don't find happening is any more 3rd party characters coming after Cloud.

And sorry to be that guy, but someone has to say it. Smash becoming more of a video-game in general crossover then Nintendo is a bad move. Also if you keep saying that it should become a more celebration off gaming in general, then that means you can say bye-bye to characters like Shulk, Lucas and Ike, cause they wouldn't fit the theme anymore.

Now I know that isn't what a lot of you mean, I'm just trying to show why saying Smash should become a celebration of gaming in general can easily be seen as a bad thing.

Well, even with Cloud, Smash is still a celebration of Nintendo, Cloud's here cause he's FF most popular protagonist, and is here to represent Final Fantasy.

And fun fact: Snake's game on the Gamecube was published by Nintendo, so he actually has quite a direct tie to Nintendo.

I saw a person saying on youtube that Melee's roster is best because of it's "Simplicity" (Despite a lot of clones in it), and Brawl/Smash 4's roster being "Not Necessary", and it "Adds salt to fries" (Despite iconic, most wanted characters, and others in those games). I don't want to seem like I'm defending a rumor I don't believe in but...

Tamaki's other leaks from the same source were also estimates using vague language. "I heard they were thinking about doing a Fallout 4: Pip boy edition. Expect to hear about that soon." One of the things people forget is that Tamaki has leaked stuff in the past. That's why the rumor was given time of day, not because SK was a character people really wanted.
