After cloud....
I'd feel slightly warm.
  • Wolf: I liked him in brawl (3rd favorite) but I'd prefer new blood. I'd still be happy to see him in though.
  • Banjoe-Kazooie: I have neither love nor hate for them, but congrats to their fans
  • Inklings: I LOVE Splatoon, but I'd prefer Callie/Marie, Captain Cuttlefish, of the final Boss (more personality).
  • Snake: He wasn't my favorite, but I dont dislike him. I'd like to see fan reactions and hear "Kept you waiting" though

I actually agree with this.

Sakurai threw in Cloud and the December stream for this Direct to create immediate hype and expectations for this stream. It's going to be big if they're announcing it so early and alongside a massively unexpected character.

I really hope to see Wolf return. Though Snake returning at this point would also be incredible.

I realize this is being treated as a joke, but it really is dumb. Women and girls play games, and they have different chest sizes. The removal of such a feature is in complete ignorance of any female audience. I haven't seen how the feature works myself, but I can't imagine it went to some crazy huge size.

It's not going to be a deal-breaker for most people, but it just goes to show how poorly thought out these decisions can be.

I just hope that even after DLC is done, balance patches continue.

I've seen too many games die out immediately after their DLC is done.

IIRC they had a placeholder icon for Mewtwo as well. So probably.

Exactly my point. It was a stupid removal and will only stir needless controversy and negativeness. Hence the :urg: emoji.

Yeah, this wouldn't be a bad idea.

Even after the roster is finally set in stone, there may exist a need to fine tune things.

Like, I still want to see Nintendo characters but....I wouldn't mind JUST seeing 3rd parties. That's me though, I completely understand everyone else's opinion. Anyway, if we get another character announced December, here's what I'd think (3rd party choices mainly).

But at the same time.....what are they announcing that needs a dedicated special broadcast? While we dont know how long the broadcast wuill last, I honestly expect more than characters. New costumes, music, and at least one new mode. Maybe a stage. As a slight stretch I can also see them announcing a "Smash Bros 4: Final Cut" with all the dlc along with a price drop the Vanilla Smash 4.

Additionally, though I dont expect it to be announced in december, I think they'll have Smash 4: Final cut on NX with Wii U crossplay


That said, I'm remaining cautiously optimistic.

I would love crash, if we got another sony era rep that wasn't snake, can it be Crash? He dominated everyone for awhile and would be a great addition to the 3rd part rivalries . He was a huge gaming icon and Sony's been teasing for awhile( it seems) that they want him to return. Imagine him returning in a new game and then show up in smash! That be amazing!

I'm jumping the gun so much.

But I seriously want to main or secondary Cloud. 7 is not my favorite FF by any means, but the series still means so much to me. He looks insanely fun and nostalgic. Plus, Shulk AND Cloud at my disposal? All hail the blonde pretty boy swordsmen.

...Oh my god I just realized I can make 2 of my favorite RPG series fight OH MY GOD THIS IS THE GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME.

The only thing I'm sure of when it comes to additional SE content is that DQ will be part of it. That's just a no-brainer.

I could see someone like Sephiroth happening and also Crono. As much as he can be joked about, yes, a Geno costume could also happen. I wouldn't be suprised to see that tbh.

I was upset that a lot of characters were leaked in the past, but Cloud being a complete surprise made up for it. I was losing it when I saw his reveal, (I was in public, so I really had to try to tone it down) the trailer left me shaking, and I don't even like Cloud that much.

This is actually pretty funny in context. It's a big cartoon bunny and he goes "let's be real for a second" and he turns into a photograph of a real bunny.

If snake is already in line of danger with the pachinko craze,crash on the hands of COD/Skylander pumper will "never" be.

The only old japanese company that was left without a "rep" on smash series is Tecmo Koei,and with Cloud on the fray,I don't think Ryu Hanabusa is far fetched.

You're implying TPHD was something that was supposed to be big time outside of the amiibos which probably gave Kenith Kenith a heart attack.

I'm happy they didn't spoiled Cloud, DQ 7&8 coming to the west and Linkle.
