Down on the corner, out in the street.
Believe me, it will happen soon. If we were able to get Foxy and Bonnie in Brawl hacks, they are certainly possible for Smash Wii U beyond Goku (and possibly Shrek).
That reminds me I need to check out that Smash 4 Goku beta video again :p

Its crazy to see how far Smash 4 hacks have come in such a little amount of time.

Here's an interesting idea.

Do you like villains with soft sides?

Or does a good villain mostly evil?

Or do both work?
Variety is the spice of life.

Having a reluctant villain can lead to some serious character development and can be very interesting.

Having a completely insane villain can illicit a completely different reaction (I believe Kefka would fit this one)

And then there are all the variations on between.

Chaotic evil, Neutral Evil, and Lawful Evil villains

Also the most common villains in this day and age, villains who believe they are fighting for justice

Hmm. . .interesting question. I think I like a villain that I don't feel guilty stopping. However, that could be because they're irredeemable OR because you can redeem them. Or it could be because they're incompetent enough of villains that have been around long enough that you know stopping them is a foregone conclusion, so you're just along for the ride.

The kinds of grey areas that guilt trip you tend to feel more like either stupid misunderstandings or instances where you're stuck kicking the dog by circumstance, and it takes some of the fun of escapism out for me. The truth is that everyone is a terrible person with a grey area, but it's much easier to sit back and have fun if you aren't forced to ponder that by the situation at hand. Obviously many people would prefer the exact opposite, as people being either evil or redeemable isn't realistic in the slightest, but it's not as much my thing.

I like the goofy villains. So Id probably pick the soft side villians :4bowser:
A character can be goofy and still be an utter psychopath with no empathy, though. Bowser isn't because he's a loving if occasionally manipulative father who cares for his troops as well as for Peach, but there are some villains out there that act goofy but have absolutely NO soft side despite it. Take Hades. Utter goofball, EVERYONE is disposable to him.

Good point. So I guess I like goofy villains in particular, cause I think Hades is hilarious

I think I discovered FNAF through "Cr1tikal"

Before then, I had heard people talking about it, but I didn't hear anything other than "It's the scariest game EVER!111!!!!!1!"

Probably a funny introduction to the game, with his apathetic voice and non sequiturs. As opposed to Markiplier with his over reactions.

As long as the villain is good as a character, I like just about any kind of villain or antagonist.

They can be pure evil, be motivated from some kind of tragic backstory, redeemable or irredeemable, etc. Whatever the case, I always enjoy a good villain.

Party Babyz has a 7,5 out of 10 on IGN's website. When i first saw the score in a screenshot, i thought it was just quick photoshop. I went to check the review on their website and......it was real.

I could make a joke about this but..........i got nothing.

I like the satirical bad villain

Where he thinks he's a pure bad guy and evil, but still comes off as goofy

Kind of like Jack Spicer, where no one takes him seriously.

Or ...Maybe Mojo Jojo

Ive wanted to buy Tekken Tag Tournament 2, but I wasnt sure how it fared. Is it any good? Is my $20 going to waste or am I making a good purchase?

Also, how dare you make me stop listening to SMG music for this?

I mean, I'm not too into Tekken games. This is the first one I've played so I'm terrible at it.

Fighting is complicated (tutorial took an hour and a half to get through, it is actually a story) but fun and rewarding. The whole game is VERY arcade like. I know, fighters always feel like it, but not this much.

I'd say its worth full price, let alone twenty. Even better since you can get it for 15 bucks since its on sale.

So yeah, buy it.

It's even more impressive when you realize that the rest of the top 5 is three veterans and what I personally consider to be an inevitability. If there's any character you won't get ripped to shreds for that isn't a wildly obvious candidate/request sponge for next game off of context or circumstance alone, it's him.

And again, only the top 20 managed to dodge being more hated than loved in terms of extremes, and a good chunk of those are third parties that would now be ripped to shreds just for being third party after the two additional third party characters revealed after the poll riled up the purists even harder than before.

Looking at just the 5s King K. Rool became number one and Krystal & Bandanna Dee jumped into the top ten. Once again Krystal had nearly as many 1s as 5s, but Bandana Dee's Marmite status is confusing.

Of the top 10 Dixie got the most 1s.

I guess Ridley has really fallen out of favour as he got more 1s than 5s.

. . .Well judging by this poll, Bayonetta was the 27th most popular character and more people hated her than loved her. That said, this fact applies to EVERYONE from the third page onward, up to and including Ridley at number 22, so all things considered she still managed to do. . .not completely terribly.

. . .

. . .I checked from the other end to see which Nintendo character that was even remotely requested was hated the most, and it turns out it's the one non-Tails character idea that I have that isn't just parroting what everyone else says. Thanks guys. Just thanks. I'm totally not one step closer to waking up a supervillain one morning now. :glare:

*EDIT* Oh, even more lovely, Tails has over twice as many hate votes as love votes. . .and ranks lower than both Knuckles and Dr. Eggman. See, I tell you guys there's a reason I feel nervous to so much as mention him half the time. He's number 65, by the way. Which STILL manages to rank over quite a few characters that are requested heavily, but that's more a matter of just how thoroughly shattered this fandom that we even have that many common requests.

*EDIT EDIT*Corrin is sitting there at 116, with quite a predictable situation of four times as many people hating him as loving him. Still two spots above Azura though. Cloud is at 155, with six times as many people hating him as loving him.

There is still a very small number of commonly requested characters below this threshold. It's dwindling, but it's there. It's mostly the Fire Emblem stuff and retros. . .Oh look, there's Anthony Higgins at 261. It's not just FE and retros after all.
It's also worth noting that Bayonetta and Cloud were both included in the top 20 of my Japanese poll.

Cloud was ranked really low on that individual character poll because everyone assumed he wasn't possible/ the fan "favorite" was the Black Mage.

(No kidding about the blocker.)

The reason that people didn't expect Cloud was because they thought all the characters had to be on a Nintendo console. This thought is based on a mistranslation: we've retranslated it here. So the thought process was "Black Mage has been on Nintendo consoles. And he's been in Mario crossovers. He's a shoo-in" instead of asking if Black Mage was the most iconic character. Look up Final Fantasy on Google Images. You will see Cloud and Lightning show up. Also, as @Spazzy_D has said in the past, Cloud had a ton of Brawl mods made for him...so he really shouldn't have been that surprising. It's just proof that fan made rules don't exist in reality.

Ah Star Fox, you were good... dont get me wrong... but you could have been amazing.

As a demo for Star Fox NX you were great ;)

Jokes. We waiting 10 years for another Gamecube-esque game.

Also I don't mean to offend but if you base Wolf's role in this game off a future Smash appearance Slippy, Peppy, Pepper, ROB64, Pigma and Andross all have more impact in the storyline.

And I use storyline loosely.

Very loosely.

Music is damn great, and it's good to know that the Robobot Armour can take damage. Though it seems to heal when you get an ability
EDIT: Healing by copying an enemy seemed to be a glitch, Kirby got hurt later but didn't heal

Also worth keeping in mind is that the end of DLC was near when the poll was conducted, so people were dead set on having their faves in and weren't open to surprises (muh spots!) , explaining the relative hate to most characters.
I think people wouldn't mind a lot of the poll's "hated" characters in reality, but every "meh" turned into "die in a fiery pit" because spots were scarce.

People were kinda done with the suprise characters and were waiting for the big popular ballot character, so retros scored low.
Roy was just revealed, so FE scored low.

Just some ramblings about the poll.

Something's been bugging me lately. We all knew Wario Land is basically dead but we haven't had a new Wario Ware game in years. What's more Wario was made unlockable in Smash and most recently, having no levels or mini in Mini Mario and Friends.

You don't think Nintendo has fallen out with Wario after Game & Wario do you?

It is a bit odd how we still haven't gotten a new Wario Ware for the 3DS. Although we did get two for the DS. I think the dev's of Wario Ware seem to be more focused on the Rythm Heaven series as of late.

Indeed. Traits like those are the reason I like Bowser so much. The fact that he's proud of his troops and actually treats them properly instead of thinking of them as expendable.

A pure evil villain is not bad necessarily, but it sort of makes him one-dimensional. Even an pure villain can be good though - make him, hammy, psychotic or creepy.

I've been worried about that. Game and Wario wasn't even really a true WarioWare game...the games were originally demos made for the Gamepad.

Cloud has been on Nintendo consoles before, though. It's just that his main game wasn't, so there wasn't much of a connection. Sakurai even said that he may have been reluctant had Cloud not appeared on Nintendo systems in any form.

It's not a hard rule, but it's still a very strong guideline that has yet to be broken.

Well, Mario Party kind of fell off the map for a bit. As much as I prefer Wario Land over WarioWare, I don't want his most relevant series to just die out. :/

Sakurai: Exactly. And within the FF franchise, Cloud is without question the most popular choice. A number of people fixate on the fact his original game was never released on a Nintendo console, but if we were to limit our choices to characters who appeared on a Nintendo console, we’d end up with Bartz from FFV or the Onion Knight from FFIII—how would that work? Maybe they could change jobs or something… Actually, that would be kind of interesting (laughs). --Nintendo Dream Interview

"might have some misgivings" means he might have had some doubt. He would still consider them.
Did I claim otherwise?

I don't understand why people think it has to either be a requirement or not matter at all. There's a middle ground.
