I actually have all of the 2.0 Originals, and by far, Stitch is my favorite. He's got a great set of blasters and a Spin Dash that makes travelling fun (albeit a bit more difficult). Donald is a close second, though. Temper tantrums are satisfying when it comes to melee attacks. I see him everywhere when it comes to 2.0 figures, especially Best Buy.
My two big wants right now are Baloo and Ant-Man, with Boba Fett / Hawkeye coming in close too. Luckily, my birthday's next week so I might be seeing them and a Ryu amiibo sometime soon :D.
I've been way too into thinking about movesets for potential Smash characters. I've had Tetra / Skull Kid on the mind forever, and now I'm crtically thinking about two characters from a franchise I've barely played.
I own both Ant-Man and Baloo, as well as Hawkeye, and I can say they're all definitely fun to play.
Ant-Man's pretty technical, but once you upgrade him so that he can combo out of his Ant Dash, he's
amazing. Definitely a glass cannon though. He can't take a hit unless you upgrade him to get a shield, and even then, it depletes fast. He's almost like the Little Mac of the game, only with the best jumps in the game.
Seriously, he actually ties with Hulk for highest jump, beating out Judy despite her being advertised as the best jumper. And he goes Giant-Man. That's always fun.
Baloo is outright one of my top three favorite figures. He's such a love letter to fans of him and the original film. His projectile is similar to Donald's in that, if you hold the button, it becomes even stronger, and
stuns. His finisher where he rips a palm tree out of the ground and whacks foes with it is fantastic, and his special move is really fun to use. All in all he's just fantastic.
Hawkeye is a ranged character by definition, and when you upgrade his bow to launch three
explosive arrows at once, he really does some damage and has a means of crowd control. However, he
doesn't have crowd control when they swarm him from all sides. His aerial assault, while awesome looking, is on the weak side, and his special move is kind of meh as far as hit detection (might be because I didn't upgrade it fully though). All in all, still a really great character. I just wish he had a super jump like Black Widow though, which is the only thing keeping me from using him more than her.
I figured I'd ask you as well. I'm thinking of picking up Battlegrounds. How does New Cap compare to Old Cap? I really love Old Cap, but if New Cap is considerably better, it might be upgrade time.
If you thought Polygon was bad before well
What a ****ing hack. If he/she were writing for an actual reputable news site, he/she
wouldn't be after that. He/she gets paid to write a review, and lo and behold, he/she says it isn't a review.
Childishness and unprofessionalism at its finest. Glad I have them blacklisted on AdBlock, so no money for them.
Edit: Whoops accidental DP. Mods please merge.
