I'd be kinda disappointed if Sonic's 2nd rep were to ever be Shadow. I'd like more diversity and go with Tails or Eggman.

Was a bit miffed enough that Sonic's Smash 4 stage was Windy Hill which was yet another Green Hill variation.

Shadow should have *some* similarities, i.e. Side Special and possibly Neutral Special (though can be altered to work like......Sonic 06.....), but be for the most part different utilizing an aggressive fighting style that suits him more.

You know I realized something after Cloud's reveal.

Konami is technically continuing gaming, just not on consoles now. They haven't left their gaming department at all, and is because this I feel like we are over-exaggerating Konami's situation and under-estimating Snake's chances in Smash. If the icon theory holds true, I feel like Sakurai is still willing to get the license of Snake even if Konami has abandoned one part of their gaming.

Tails has gadgets/dummy rings, Knuckles can dig, Eggman can use a mech, Shadow has edge super powers, Amy has that hammer.

The circumstances behind Snake being cut aren't really known. They could have passed on him since he didn't fit as well and wasn't seen as very popular.

That and Diddy Kong isn't a recolor of DK, so there's also that.

I think it's pretty surefire that he was a one-time deal. Our knowledge on why he was included gives credit to that, and Kojima being gone makes it substantially less likely to ever see him again at this point.
