A Bowser game should be incredibly meta.

Mario, Luigi, and Peach have been kidnapped by some new villain and Bowser sets out to save them because if he doesn't, no new Mario games can be made and then he can't make more money to build more stuff. Plus there is nobody left to be the king of if he doesn't stop this new villain who's kidnapping the Mushroom Kingdom citizens too.

Gameplay wise it would probably be a platformer-brawler. Like God of War or whatever.

If the game has Paper Bowser's personality then I'm sold.

No Tara Strong was very questionable, especially she voiced Bubbles in 2011's Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion (Blossom got her original voice actor in the XL edition, Buttercup never got hers).

But Craig McCracken's version raised the bar very high in terms of quality expectations so I didn't expect the reboot to succeed in this well.

That had nothing to do with it. Tara Strong literally only wanted to voice Bubbles because of her love for the character. One of the best VA's ever will literally work for next to nothing on their own decision...You're insane if you say no

From what I've seen and heard, the PPG anime is actually good and well liked.

It's obviously different from the original show but it's a good adaptation.

Because that's what Sticker Star did and clearly that game's so damn beloved they needed to get that game a sequel on the HD console before the NX came as one of the last big games for it!

The animation is somewhat questionable and one of the big issues, personally speaking if nothing else, with the new show... is that "flight" is basially the only old power that seems to be left. The actual abilities of the girls is now just basically being Green Lanterns that just kinda emit energy around themselves in whatever form they wish. It also kinda makes them all... identical, effectively, as fighters.

As opposed to, say, Blossom uniquely having Ice Breath.

I've watched a little bit of the new PPG. I wasn't blown away, it's certainly not the best reboot... but it's not the worst. It's okay imo.

I'd definitely rather watch it than a certain other reboot on the channel.

After watching two episodes of the PPG reboot. It's not god awful, but it's not good either. It just lacks the charm of the original show. The absence of the original voice actresses being a big part of that.

As much as I could rant about Teen Titans Go, it was at least trying to be its own thing from the start. The PPG reboot is trying to be a revival, and it just falls flat.
