So, now that I finally seem to have taken a break of color splash essay (no kidding, I like to write essay, but it was exhausting to wrte 3 of them in 2 days lol), well, I will talk about something else that I finally did and I am happy about it
See, a lto of people woudl know for now (and as my location might indicate), I do not speak English as first, but as a second language (I speak French as first language for those who don't know). It's not the major reason I do a lot of typo here (maybe for grammar though), but the truth is, I think I can safely say that for writting, I am really good because otherwise, I wouldn't be able to do like.....thousands of words in an essay and ACTUALLY be understood.
However, my relation with English speaking.....is weird. Since I started to watch Twitch streams (around summer 2012), I relaised I got a lot better with speaking, so much that I could easilly talk minutes.....maybe hours and being comfortable with it. Given how I written, it jsut kept being better since I kept watchign streams so now I could easilly have pretty much most ocnversation.
Except that I never actually TRIED for real outside of my classes. The reason is simply because i was shy, I mean I still remember the time when i first started to WRITE SOMETHING in english and omg......it was quite painfull because you are so scared of not being understood. However, at that time, i was learning, the speaking, I had.....not mcuh to learn tbh. I coudl have sentecnes in my head and say them loud if I wanted, but I jsut was too shy to ever hook a mic and do it.
And it started to become VERY annoying because I got back into gltich hunting las October in a discord where sometime, there's voice chat. This is really weird becuase I coudl lurk mic muted and still understands eveyrthing but I just never wanted to unmute. What didn't help is to be confident to try it, I woudl ahve had to be alone and becuase I live in appartement with my brother......it didn't help it.
However, 2 weeks ago, I was alone for some day and I finally tried to do it.....it went A LOT better than i expected and this was with a 10$ headset mic that I placed on the upper side of my monitor (seriously, it had static). So a day after I did it again (this time, the conversation was more serious and it was about a discussion involving a lot of glitch hunters) and it went very well again. So at this point, I am convinced it shoudl be fine.
and here I am now, yesterday, i did a gltich hunting session on spm with a mic (had to use push to talk though lol) and it went so well that more people than usual came (even more from the community) and got follows.
So I am DEFINETELY streaming with a mic from now on and I am so happy about it. you have no idea how good it feels to just not type and speak because all I have to do is read on my second monitor and talk.
Which is when I talk about my twitch becuase the fact I have a mic chnages COMPLETELY how my stream is. Basically, whenever I have available time (usually weekend becuase college), I decided to stream my glitch hunting session of spm on twitch.

How this usually works is I would be having the emulator and the CE window and just I guess do stuff. What was not happening before is unless I used the chat, I couldn't explain stuff very well stuff like "this thing is expected" or "I am interested by this because......" since it woudl be too overkill for me to do this on the chat. With the mic however, I can easilly jsut say what the freak I am doing and most importantly WHY. I know I detailed the GENERAL idea of gltich huntoing in my source gaming interview (thanks
@PushDustIn we like you
), but truth is, some people jsut want to see concrete ideas. i mean to put this in perspective, I had at least 3 people completely unlinked to the paper mario discord that came (one that asked me stuff on tweeter abotu the addresses I was using).
I also feel that streaming glitch hunt isn't very common (some do, but they won't do it for general testing I feel) and this is why I think having a mic could chnage how I could present gltich hunting externally.
So, my question is would that be interesting to watch? Because I feel that even if you would never be interested in gltich hunting that the idea of seeing how it works can be interesting to know about
