Well if you ever do, I recommend you pick up one of the gen 2 remakes; I'd take Soul Silver personally...(and not just because the first pokemon in your party will follow you around everywhere you go just like Pikachu in Yellow) but because it is one of the best pokemon games period...I also notice you haven't played through the Johto region either, so it'll be a completely new experience for you at least...Gen 2 and it's remakes to this day are the only games that have two pokemon regions as well...

Naotora Li is the character in question, being more shameless Samurai Warriors 4 promotion on Tecmo's part. I can understand that they want a new face in order to keep the Dead or Alive hype train alive, but someone like her is kind of "out of place" given her historical background. And I know, this is the same series where we have ninjas and demons beating the **** out of humans in a fighting tournament. It's just that having a character primary known for conquering and stomping armies doesn't seem like Dead or Alive material to me.

You aren't wrong, they can shoehorn one Fatal Frame character in there to make up for Ayane's appearance in the fifth game. I can see them as fighters in Smash, but not as serious fighters in a DOATEC tournament since they are girls with little combat experience. Not like it would really happen since Dead or Alive haven't touched a Nintendo platform since the 3DS.

I think raising Pokemon was made too easy the last game. Mostly my fault for using the Experience Share item, I don't think I'll be using it again (if it still exists). It made Y go by tell fast for me. Nice option for those who want it though.

I want both Exp. Shares available. That way I can do it in a fun way depending the situation. Exp. All for the key item and Exp. Share for the held item.

Also, they should do the Exp. Scaling like in Gen 5. It made things much more fair, imo.

I find it kind of funny how Tekken Tag Tournament 2 worked fine on the Wii U and Fatal Frame V had the same visuals as Dead or Alive 5 yet the game itself haven't touched the Wii U yet. It's not only Tecmo, but Crapcom had been stingy with their fighters as well when it came to that platform. Are they in the camps that believe traditional fighters won't work with the Nintendo Gamepad?

Just finished Chapter 23, I have to say, it's one of my favorites from an atmospheric standpoint.

It basically incorporates the three main elements of taking a fortress: Breaking the front lines, storming the castle, and taking the head position, and each part that you accomplish feels like completing a small goal in taking the whole thing. It also helps that each part be decently challenging to get through as the enemies stack Rallies and attack in groups, making it hard to break them down, and have Takumi's retainers head each group with a powerful skillset of their own. It felt like you overcame something beating it, and even if it's not the hardest chapters I've encountered, it's one of the most enjoyable for me in the game.

Now onto Chapter 24!

I think Pokemon's thematic legendaries are a bit muddled in term of scale from one to the next. In terms of scale it should go:

Gen 3: Land, Sea & Sky
Gen 7: Sun & Moon
Gen 4: Time, Space& Anti-matter (& God)
Gen 6: Life, Death &... no game?


The only one that doesn't fit, due to it being more about morality and the like is:

Gen 5: Truth, Ideals &... Ice?

Why would Rosalina be the first thing to come to your mind when it comes to "skimpy" characters?

If anything it's Peach who is the skimpy character of Mario. Rosalina shows her bare shoulders in her default outfit but that's it (and that's considered more beautiful than sexy. Whenever it even has sexual connotations, it's more sensual than straight up sexy). Aside from that, she only ever shows the same amount or less skin than Peach. Peach also has her panties modelled out in tons of games (Rosalina never has), and has even been nude in an official Mario game at one point.

Any "fan service" Rosalina gets is more than likely unintentional, while Peach has been used for some kind of fan service multiple times where it's clearly intentional.

Gave in a bought both Birthright & Conquest.

I found out I'm going to have a really rough week at work on Monday, so I need something to help get me through it, plus there was a sale going on so I got both physical for $65. I feel kind of bad for breaking plan to get them pre-owned, as I still am against the way the series is going, but work and $ comes first.

Will probably play Birthright first with Male Corrin and Conquest thereafter with Female Corrin. Besides the cover art, considering the Noir characters, I think it'd be really creepy to play it with a guy...

The Tao Trio is more about any opposing ideas
Said truth and ideals, good and evil, Yin and Yang, etc
With Kyurem acting as the gray area that balances things out and can merge with one of the ideas(which is why they can fuse)
The Original Dragon would have complemented it even more with Gray and Grey Morality idea as the main Aesop in BW was that things aren't black and white

When Swampasaur used to be a moderator, he kinda used the thread title to announce whenever he beat a game and whatnot.

Fighters don't sell as well on Nintendo consoles for years since Street Fighter 2 days.

50% was due to Sega/Playstation/Xbox making it a home on their systems
50% of Smash screwing up the sales of those games.


The only exception was Soul Calibur & Mortal Kombat but those games sold strongly on ANYTHING regardless. Also DoA didn't bother to even send their games over to the Wii U because it was struggling.

That and it really isn't worth it with all that DLC.

Disney knows what they are doing with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and I think Nintendo could pull off something similar, having all of the characters converge for Smash Bros branded movies (basically serving as the Nintendo equivalent to Avengers movies).

At the very least, I'd love a Star Fox movie made by the same team as Guardians of the Galaxy. It seems like such a natural fit.

I think you overanalyzed my statement.

What I mean by that is a new female character who somehow becomes extremely popular with fans. The skimpiness comment was more of a jab at the new direction the Warriors series had been taking ever since SW4 and DW8 happened for more sales. The games themselves used to be daily normal focusing on the historical aspect of the games before she came along and a few other female characters were redesigned (Bao Sanniang).

Lately Tecmo's being trying the fanservicify their other IP's lately over the years for God know's what reason. Even they thought it was a good idea to give the cast a Pangea costumes based on their DOA babies. No need to put be in the same label as certain banner user because of this.
