To be fair, Legendaries are kind of hard to make look good. . .

But it looks like he just drew a demon and tacked a bunch of lunar symbols on it for the Moon legendary.

The Sun one actually doesn't look SO bad, and if you took the one sun sticker off it's neck and gave it a better artist it might actually look kind of interesting.

But the moon is something I would associate with a smoother, more serene design. A rough, furry, sharp-detailed demon like the one shown seems kind of the polar opposite of what one would expect from a guardian or incarnation of the moon itself.

When I think "Moon Pokémon," I think "Cresselia." Something notably un-serene looking isn't going to immediately register with that idea unless the design finds another way to represent the moon, which I feel this one fails to other than, "ooh, spooky demon things come out at night, so a moon creature's gotta be a spooky demon thing."

Oh boy, here we go

He doesn't like when people think he is a girl
He just wants to wear cute stuff and look good
His character is designed to subvert these kind of tropes
He isn't trying to "look like a girl"

It's not his aim. I'm aware.
Neither was it for Lucius, Libra, the male Heron whose name I forgot, etc.
But the point being that Libra's voices, and that of "Foleo" had androgyny to it.
I personally felt a bit disappointed when his voice was as deep as it was.
Because it does break a bit of a tradition. A "running joke" of character design.
And he does little to subvert it besides have a non-confusable voice in English.

It doesn't help that he really didn't have a role in my team and only got used in Velouria's paralogue to pop a dragon vein.

The accusation of Pokémon "running out of ideas" is ridiculous. The titles in particular were so uninspired and bland in the first place that the only reason to accuse them of "running out of ideas" is because of a knee-jerk "They Changed It, So It Sucks" reaction.

There are hundreds if not thousands of parallel, polar opposite, and similar ideas they could dig into before adding nonsense titles.

As for the Pokémon themselves, there are similarly hundreds of different ideas they could dig into, and even if a huge chunk of them are Water- or Bug-Type candidates and thus booed away by the fandom, I think the problem is more that they are just actively picking bad ideas as opposed to actually running out of them. There are simply too many obscure things being used for them to not be aware of better options.

I wouldn't say that GF is running out of ideas...if anything there are plenty of ideas they haven't even touched yet that we've been asking for, for a while...Wolf, Dolphin, Hummingbird, Tiger, etc...

There are consistencies...Electric Mouse, regional Bird, etc...but it's not really a sign they are running out of ideas...

even still there are some that are kinda repeated but still rather different conceptually, the fire foxes for example...Nintales, Delphox and Flareon
