Usually digital. I dont have to worry about losing a game.
And as lazy as this sounds when a game is already on the console im more like to play it. I was just playing shovel knight a moment ago ONLY becausd i didnt need to go find my had to get a cartridge.
Plus it means i can have multiple games in at the same time. I have smash 3ds with me at all times bow instead of just when the cartridgw is in.

Lately I've been addicted to Minesweeper. I blame having recently seen Minesweeper: The Musical.

Ok I know I talked about it yesterday, but I am still gushing on logic chess opening from AAI 2 music
Let me just explain why I think this music is what I wanted since around a year or 2.
I was ALWAYS in the idea that vgm can be used to make active concentration better because the thing is, it has been proved that classical does stimulate the brain and I actually do like classical (I have some 320kbps in my pc and they are really good to hear). The problem is that although they are simple to hear, they just don;t fit the "active" atmosphere I was looking for, some are very fast in tempo, but it;s the intruments that just doesn;t fit. I mostly associate piano with calm and smooth atmosphere while I woudl associate a synth as active.
Like they fit if I browse online because I don';t do much if say I am reading articles, that';s somewhat active. Reading books works if the music is smooth which I have soem classical that does that.
But my problem is much more active than this? I had so much trouble. for example, programming or glitch hunting (especially when i search addresses or even worse, reverse engineer). it require me to focus so much that the music HAS to have a feel of being very active while not being too much to get too much attention like a classical music and to actually be long enough so that i eventually ignore the music is looping 10 times in a row.
I heard some very interesting candidates. Predestinated fate from VVVVVV is a one that is active, slow, but the loop becomes a bit too obvious and the problem is although I like the thing they did on the channel switching, it gets too much attention.
Then there was power plant from x/y, that one was quite close, but the main problem I had with it is it's slightly getting too much impacts, like the notes just fluctuates a lot in terms of impacts which kinda destroys the background feel I want.
For the paper mario series, actually none of the music fit what I want because they tend to grab a lot of attentions except the pm64 one, but these tends to be very calm and not active. The best candidates In found was answer that question from TTYD which was way too short, and too active, but felt more active and as surprising as it sounds, the enigmatum from yes....SS. That SS music however was too fluctuating and had sfx. I never found a paper mario music that fitted this.
So then I started to watch ace attorney streams and realised that omg they come so close to this. I mean especially the cross examinations one, they really are so close to that. they just are however slightly too short (it;s like the same thing repeated twice with some variations), but they really get JUST enough attentions and they still feel very active. It's actually impressive how they got that right, but the predictability and the short length makes this slightly annoying after an hour.
And then.......I watch an investigations streams and unconsciously, I got logic chess opening in my head, to the point where I would raise my amp volume when the streamer was on a logic chess part. Two days after, it became so present I had to listen it on my phone while eating dinner at college (reminder, dinner for me = second main meal of the day). you know that feel when you think about a music and you just CANNOT get it out of your head? that's a feel I get when I heard a really good music usually.
So then I listen to it again.......and I realised that it;s really really good, but I had to actively think why because I could not get why it was so good. Then I realised it......the music takes a minute and a half to loop, but felt very active and not too present (like I don't feel i want to...balance my head to the beat, no, it just stayed there). To confirm my theory, I listened to it several times today, in active situation like when i walked to college (can't drive) and even doing a logic intensive work for a class (it was very intense like my head hurt a bit afterwards) on loop for I would say 30 minutes during the walk and an hour for the work.
Every time, it felt just fitting, never took too much attention and most importantly, the looping point is easy to ignore and the length makes it easy to loop over and over again.
I think I just found THE music I was looking for. It just has everything I wanted for all this time to finally have a reason to think that what I thought was true: vgm CAN be a really great stimulant. which is actually something I really want as someone ho has an adhd, it actually HELPS that I get external stimulus.
Now, I was thinking about it and I realised that EVEN the original intent of the music matches exactly what i want. The music plays in a timed logic and strategy questioning, it fit exactly what I like and the music fit that theme so well.

I will always prefer physical over digital for a bunch of different reasons.
- Digital storage can be expensive, especially when it comes to game consoles and how it has become common to have proprietary memory sticks and things.
- It's usually in the ToS that a publisher has the right to remove your ability to play a digital game because when you buy a digital game you're actually purchasing a license to play it, which is closer to renting than actually buying. (Hell would freeze over before I let a company steal a physical copy of a game from me)
- I don't think most of the world is at a poont eith the internet yet where they have the bandwidth to support going all digital, speeds aren't reliable enough and ISPs still have download limits. I personally have a limit of about 120GBs per month, if I went all digital and had a PS4 or XBOne that would only be about 3 or 4 games that I could download, and that's not even counting youtube, web browsing, streaming, torrenting, or Nintendo consoles.
- Finally, it might seem petty, but I don't feel that a digital game is worth as much as a physical copy, less work goes into releasing it, there's no artwork you get to look at before or after playing it, and you can't put a digital file on a shelf to display.

I always go physical over digital when I can. Saves system storage (which is more valuable to me than physical storage) that way, plus there's the sort of nostalgic feeling of physically putting the game in the system.

I prefer Physical...it's just a lot more convinient I find, I did get Smash 4 and Splatoon as digital copies mainly because I bought the Black Friday bundle which comes with them both pre-installed...it was a good deal so I guess I could make the sacrifice...
If you're referring to the list, I don't think there's been any confirmation one way or the other yet...

yea the one that revealed the supposed 6.5 pokedex. and so far nothing has been proven false or true so far? guess there still some hope. i want that fighting/dragon type pokemon. hopefully its a pseudo legendary.
