. . .Actually I'm not shedding tears for anyone right now. This sounds like it has much cooler possibilities for Legendaries than most fan ideas, and the fact that it ties itself to a concept rather than a color or shape means we get a pretty good idea what they represent right off the bat.

Sun and Moon sound MUCH more typically Pokémon than, say, Plus and Minus do.

Seems like we're getting straight up new generations rather than the usual 3rd game, if that's the case I'm beyond psyched. The theme of the sun and the moon could also be really cool, it's certainly more creative than another set of colors or gemstones.

Well if Gen 7 is really on the way, I wouldn't be surprised now if Zygarde's extra forms and Ash Greninja are saved for some sort of Gen 7 event like the shiny Beast Trio & Celebi in Gen 4.

I'm conflicted. I got Battle Network 4 Red Sun, but I also got Digimon World Dusk. lol

And I just noticed: If you look at it one way, it looks like two crescent moons, but if you look at it the OTHER way, it looks like a crescent moon with two normal moons eclipsing it.

If there's one thing I want from a new Pokemon generation it's more normal evolutions.

In my opinion, a Pokemon shouldn't be given a Mega unless they are already viable Pokemon without it. Sablege and Mawile for example, their megas should just be evolutions.

Giving single stage Pokemon megas sort of restricts them in the future from doing a normal evolution. And I hope they don't dig that hole deeper.

But hey, don't throw in the towel yet. Zygarde still has some funky stuff going on that hasn't been implemented. We could potentially get a two region deal like Gen 2.

I mean, it is a new game's title that's not Z. I don't think it's a bad conclusion to draw.

Makes sense for them to make Pokemon generations shorter. It gets them more $$$. I personally think we now see 4 games per generation. One Main Series (B/W, X/Y, Sun/Moon) then an extra title (B2/W2, ORAS, ???). Makes sense to me.

Never really liked Kalos that much personally, Lumiose City was the only really memorable place in the whole region for me.

The copyrights are legit, after that it's safe to assume it's a new generation as it's an entirely new theme, if it was just an extension of X & Y surely it'd just be called Z (or XZ and YZ if they went that route), and if they were spin-offs the titles would more clearly refer to the gameplay mechanics like with the Mystery Dungeon series. Two generations per handheld console has also been the norm except for the GBA, so it's hardly a conclusion.
