I disagree with Daisy being in Smash Bros, but that doesn't mean I hate her.

I actually like her quite a bit in fact, and wish she'd get more attention in the main games.

I've always found the Ridley hate to be pretty ridiculous regardless of whether or not he should logically get in. The venom from detractors was MUUUUUCH too harsh for the situation, and in all likelihood probably still is.

At this point though I've mostly taken to finding mirth in the fact that Ridley is traditionally mocked as being a better fit as a stage than a character when a certain other villain that commonly gets brought up is guilty to a much more literal extent of that and never gets any flak for their size.


The fans of said villain are probably going to be offended by that, but if you don't see a problem with Ridley then it doesn't really apply to you, and if you do see a problem with Ridley, then, well. . .

Daisy is a boring character, to be honest, and is just filler for spin-offs. Overall, I don't care for the character since I think there really isn't anything to like about her. On the other hand, I don't exactly hate her either since she doesn't have anything that makes me hate her either.

She's just... there. There really isn't anything special about her. Even her debut game, Super Mario Land, she's just a Peach rip-off, having the exact same damsel-in-distress role as her. They could have used Peach instead of her back then and nothing about the game would change in any significant way.

Hell, you could even label Daisy's sprite in SML as Peach, it wouldn't make any difference.

Again, she's just there and it took a tennis game with 2-on-2 matches released around a decade after her debut to bring her back and it was for the sole purpose to serve as filler so Peach could have a partner, which is essentially the same reason why Waluigi is a thing.

Admittedly, I do find Waluigi to be funny because he does have some wacky characterization, even zanier than Wario. Otherwise, he's as much filler as Daisy is.

However, I do admit: for a filler character, she does have a quite... interesting... fanbase. I do wonder how such a one-dimensional character manages to have such devoted fans.

Modding all the character threads is an . . .experience to say the least. I would do it again given the choice but I saw a lot more reading EVERY POST than when I just visited only about 5 threads.


The K rool thread and Wolf threads were without a doubt the most venomous. There were definitely good apples mixed with the bad ones. But only those 2 fanbases were able to dissapoint me. Too many bad apples in one bunch.

Yeah, my word choice definitely came out awkward there. I was trying to say that I'm excited for Z, but I'm also excited for the possibility that the news turns out to be about generation 7.

Personally, I envision Pokemon Z more of a sequel similar to Pokemon Black2/White2. There's just so many mysteries raised in X/Y and OR/AS that simply adding slight enhancements to a previous region/story to answer them wouldn't be as interesting as going the sequel route. I'm also excited for Z because I actually enjoyed X/Y quite a lot, and I really wanted to see Kalos be improved in some sort of way.

. . .nnnnot yet. I think they'll save the next batch for the next handheld system. If they do go two remakes to a system, copying the rest of Gen 3 and making Gen 1 remakes makes more sense for a 20th anniversary game, although I'm not really expecting any more remakes on 3DS.

Remakes tend to skip a console so as not to worry about remaking something that has backwards compatibility playability on the system. If you want to bring up the Gen 1 remakes not skipping a console, Gen 1 originally debuted on the vanilla Gameboy, which is about as much a Color as the 3DS is a DS.

I'm actually quite shocked Rosalina ranked at all. She's already in the game as a background element unfortunately and I don't see them changing that at this point. They'd probably also be compelled to make her play like she does in Smash 4 (since Mega Man got an overhaul to do this), which might be too difficult considering how she plays in Smash 4.

And because this is very much a poll for core Smash fans (since only they would know about it), it's interesting seeing her just behind characters like Cloud and in the top 20.

Tomb Raider is a huge franchise compared to Fire Emblem, one that is a big budget franchise that even has two hollywood films starring the Oscar winning actress....

Fire Emblem is nothing compared to Tomb Raider, and the fact that now each successive game is doing better than the last is a pretty big deal for a smaller franchise that has struggled to get noticed for several years...

FE is a niche franchise and genre. Gaining this amount of sales is very good.

A) Fates has been out for less than a week.
B) The only gauge we have for Rise of The Tomb Raider is it breaking 1 million by January which is still pretty young. Awakening did get to almost 2 million in its lifespan and Fates is marked to well out-do that.
