Some things that I thought were interesting in that Sakurai interview:

-Mewtwo's Final Smash apparently caused age rating concerns. I find this strange since the attack is as "shonen anime" as things get, not much different to a lot of other attacks in Smash. It would be different if the characters realistically crumpled up or became a vegetable (though maybe they originally did, or at least got stunned), but since they get launched like any other attack, the average viewer would just see it as him launching a blast at the characters and not specifically their minds, which is all it looks like.

-Sakurai basically confirmed that Roy in Smash is basically an outright "alternative universe" version of the character. Like the difference between regular Sonic and Sonic in Sonic Boom.

-The bit about him thinking Cloud would be difficult to make true to his character while also not OP for Smash makes me wonder if he even remembers half of the characters on the roster because Cloud is far from the most absurdly powerful character on the roster in canon, lol. Especially when he's in Dissidia and is far from the best character in that game.

It used to be an honourable rank until Fal 'Chavamee (who has no relation to FalKoopa at all) called the great Jounrey (Covenant Religion) a lie. Then it became a disgrace and then the current Arbiter, Thel 'Vadam, basically made it a leadership title.

Smash! is a complete seperate entity from Normal Roy (Who's probably off somewhere being Z-Tier in FE-wise gameplay)
Smash is also actual Corrin, but from a FOURTH timeline (Hoshido, Nohr, Neither and Smash)

Somehow Sakurai managed to influence more Lore into Fire Emblem than into Kid Icarus
Which is saying something because we literally got extensive knowledge of the current KI Universe's events VIA Palutena's Guidance (Such as now being the Chief of the Forces of Nature)

EDIT: Oh, and apparently Chrom knows Telepathy because he's able to enter a converse between Pit and Palutena (Which is by Telepathy) completely unannounced

I mean I know that for the demographic Smash primarily caters to, a character like Rosalina being powerful is absurd to them, but still.

I would call her top tier in terms of powerful fictional characters in general (again, her bio covers her for that too), but not having her in at least top 5 in a powerful Smash/Nintendo characters list is just absurd.

is archnemesis.
is friendly rival because she is by far the weakest goddess she ever though against. Good mates. They both LOVE to prank .
is completely unaware of whatever thing is so she never gets the joke but says does the taunt anyway to make others laugh.

No they don't, you're thinking of fanon.

Headcanon is an unofficial idea derived from canon. It has to be based on fact, a "reasonable conclusion" as it were. Often times you can actually accept them as official. For example, Nintendo has never given Rosalina an official height, but it's accepted that in her normal form, she is 7'7". This is because Mario's official height is 5'1" (based on a "life-size" statue), and his model on Galaxy matches this. So you can get Rosalina's height by measuring her in relation to Mario. Since this is such a concrete headcanon that is pretty much airtight, it's accepted as if Nintendo said it themselves.

If your "headcanon" is just pulled out of thin air and isn't backed up by official material, it's not actually a headcanon.

I still love the one he made on sequelisation more than this one, but that quote is definetely a top tier.

I mean, even in the technical aspect of it, I realised it makes no sense to have a console wars idea. They jsut are computers......the only difference with a pc is that it's made to be closed and used in a certain way. I mean, before, they were as closed as you can ONLY power on, power off, reset, have a game inside and have controllers......it's this simple and this closed, but it works if all matters is the external media. Eventually, they got more open with stuff like internet browser and such, but seriously, at the end of the day, you buy a console for the games.

What I basically mean is that the only thing that makes the specs of a console good is when it is considtent to what the engineer wanted to do with the system. It`s not better because they are superior, it`s better if it suits the need of the system. A gaming pc for example,m yes, it has higher specs, but that`s because gaming pc are designed to be more open so it's normal that it is objectively better, but subjectively, the WiiU has lower specs than the other consoles and it has really great games and can run them fine. The specs of the WiiU matches what Nintendo wanted in terms of games, except the one thing I will agree is what they didn't is get enough support because of the architechture.

So why the heck there's still debates on this? Even if you take this objectively, the problem here is nonexistent. It's not a question of being the strongest platform on the market, it's really about having diversified platform to have different level of gaming. A computer is made to suit particular needs, not to do everything, that doesn't exist anyway you woudl have to do compromises anyway. Even a pc, yes, their specs are higher, but you need a bit mroe time to set up and you have so much options that it actually complicates the process a bit, but that's what you get to want that. A console is LITTERALLY a matter of plugging and pushing a power button.....and is actually heavilly tested to.....jsut work.

From a hardware design perspective, I never got why this discussion ever made sense tbh.
